Lemnos has a very long tradition in wine-making and there has been a lot of progress in the last years concerning the number of the wineries as well as the styles of wine produced in Lemno. This wine tasting experience gives you the opportunity to become aware of the long history and tradition of the island, the wineries, the local varities and of course the local PDO wines. Together with a selection of representative wine labels you try a selection of local cheese, as well as traditional bread and sweets. Above all, the place where the tasting takes place, "Issalos bar-cafe", is a spot with an amazing sea view at the famous coast of Myrina, “Romeikos Gialos”. Try this wine tasting experience while watching the sun setting behind Mount Athos!

This wine and cheese pairing is a definite must if you are visiting Lemnos, and you have absolutely no excuse if you are in Myrina. Eleftheria ‘Frieda’ hosts and arranges an elegant evening with interesting and tasty local wines and cheeses at the edge of the beach at the Isalos Bar. The evening takes on the qualities of Turner painting as the sun sets over Mount Athos (50miles away on mainland Greece) creating an explosion vivid colours.
Very nice experience!! Got to taste six local wines paired with different greek cheeses, fruits and dessert in a beautiful sunset.
A highly recommended event to experience if you ever visit the island of Lemnos. We tasted many different fine local cheeses, wines, breads and some desserts but I have to admit that besides the tasting we had a very nice time and learned a lot about wine and the history that binds it to Lemnos. The host, Eleftheria, was pleasant and gave a very nice presentation; but mostly seemed very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our questions. Isalos bar at sunset was an ideal place to host this event as the view towards the sea and the castle was breathtaking. Booking the event was very easy and straightforward. Would recommend this to groups, couples and why not to singles; definitely a value for money experience!
What a great experience. Eleftheria takes you on a journey exploring the wines and cheeses of Lemnos against the backdrop of the setting sun in one of the most picturesque locations in Myrina. The selection of different, often little known local wines is excellent and Eleftheria provides a rich overview of the history, traditions and wine making methods of the island, paired with a delicious variety of local breads, cheeses and sweets. A highlight of our visit to Lemnos and highly recommended.
On 20th of August we experienced the wine tasting provided my Lemnos wine trail ! From our first contact , the organizer Eleftheria was very professional , polite and friendly . She informed in advanced all the info about the event . The every took place in Isalos bar, a very nice place in front of the sea with an amazing view of the castle. Eleftheria was so kind and so informed about the history of wines in the island ! I have to say that the whole event It was more than just wine tasting event as we had the opportunity to taste local cheeses , local deserts and local pastries all accompanied with the right wines . It was probably one the best wine tasting events that I have ever had and definitely Eleftheria made the event so special ! I will recommend all my friends visiting to the island to experience this venue!
