Hike to Alama falls

Cristos was another fantastic guide! We took a beautiful and rigorous 3hour hike through the oldest oak forest in the Balkans. Then a lovely mid day meal in a local village, followed by an exceptional visit to a eco farm where we planted crops, cooked together, shared a delicious meal, and met new friends who again treated us like family. An 8hour tour easily became over 12 hours and we shared stories and food and connected. Cristos was knowledgeable and patient and gave his incredible perspectives on Ikarian way of life. Cristos and Stefanos have captured the unique way of guiding visitors by showing us the real way of life through the experience of locals. We didn't feel rushed or on a time budget and these guys were not bored showing us the same tour they have shown others. It was authentic and organic, flexible and adaptable. In fact it wasn't like a tour at all...more like borrowing a local Ikarian for a day so we could have a true taste of Ikarian life as their shadow. Never had tours like this before. I cannot say enough about how amazing Days of Ikaria is. Literally the best tours of our entire life and we travel A LOT. Thank you guys for a wonderful immersion in your beautiful island. We will never forget our experience for the rest of our lives!

My experience with the Ikaria hiking tour was absolutely unforgettable. Loved the experience!! The mountain walk, really spectacular, the landscapes, the perfumes of the plants, the sea in the distance, the terraces made by former inhabitants... the guides also very good, tell you a lot of interesting things about the current culture of the island. The surf lessons an excellent madness teacher, the sea unbeatable! Super comfortable transport, delicious food, everything perfect. Absolutely wonderful. Recommended 100%
