Clearly the best and most educational city tour I have experienced so far.
Extremely entertaining, interesting, and eloquent tour by the cheerful guide Gideon. Thanks to modern technology (headset), we were provided with information throughout the entire tour. Interim questions were also addressed briefly and competently. Our highlight: The projector stops! Anytime again!
although Leipzig is not unknown to us, we learned quite a few new things ! You should have an interest in the city of Leipzig

You will learn new things about Leipzig on foot within the old city walls in a very personal way. Historical facts are connected with current ones, beautifully and originally presented, projected pictorially onto the walls. Lisa did a very good job, great, and always smiled while presenting with joy. It was educational and the joy was conveyed despite 86 degrees.

Interesting design, very modern, but the guide should not evaluate too much, just tell stories and share knowledge about Leipzig. His explanations and evaluations about the reunification were unnecessary for us as Leipzig residents who experienced it. Otherwise, we saw things we did not know, and we were all over 60 years old!!
Vielen Dank für die Bewertung und das ihr bei der Extremhitze bei der Stadtführung dabei gewesen seid. Leider kann ich jedoch den Widerspruch nicht auflösen, dass wir einerseits Wissen zu Leipzig vermitteln sollen, aber andererseits die Erläuterungen zur Wende-Zeit als unnötig empfunden wurden. Denn die Friedliche Revolution ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Leipziger Geschichte - dessen Symbole heute an vielen Stellen die Stadt prägen. So war die mit 1989 im Zusammenhang stehende "Glocke der Demokratie" zum Beispiel in meiner Erinnerung bei der Führung für alle bis dahin unbekannt. Bei der Führung versuchen wir bewusst, auf Bewertungen zu verzichten - sondern stattdessen zu informieren. Immer auf Basis von neutralen Fakten, nicht auf Erinnerungen, die im Falle der DDR schon mindestens fast 40 Jahre oder deutlich älter sind. Auch wenn wir mit den Projektionen unterwegs unterschiedliche Ansichten von Gebäuden in ihrem Zustand zur oder nach der DDR-Zeit zeigen, ist das schon für einige Gäste ein Widerspruch zur eigenen Erinnerung "Früher war alles besser" - diese Fotos sind jedoch keine Bewertung, sondern zeigen Fakten. Wenn wir neutral über die Bedeutung von Kunstwerken informieren, liegt es in der Natur der Sache, dass die persönliche Meinung der Gäste nicht immer dem entspricht, was die Künstler zum Ausdruck bringen wollten - z. B. bei den "Unzeitgemäßen Zeitgenossen". Es ist schade, wenn das persönliche Nicht-Gefallen von Kunstwerken als "Bewertung" angesehen und bemängelt wird, obwohl lediglich neutral über die Aussage der Kunstwerke berichtet wird. Dass für Leipziger bei einer Stadtführung nicht alles unbekannt ist, sollte verständlich sein. Es freut mich dennoch, dass einiges bis dahin Unbekanntes ins Blickfeld gerückt werden konnte.
You learn many things that you do not experience on the city tour. Unconditional recommendation! It was about 10,000 steps, says my watch😊
Ganz herzlichen Dank für die Bewertung und vielen Dank, mit unserem "modernen Nachtwächter" in Leipzig unterwegs gewesen zu sein! Die 10.000 Schritte waren aber zumindest sicher nicht nur von der Führung - das wäre eine ganze Menge bei ca. 1,5 Stunden und einer Strecke von rund 2 km ;-)
If you are expecting a costumed night watchman, you are in the wrong place. If you want a competent and empathetic city guide, you are exactly right here. The city tour was informative with depth; surprisingly multimedia "garnished," but not "modern-annoying," rather in a way that made you feel well taken care of and guided with pedagogical skill in the best sense. The technology worked flawlessly - but the people were always the focus. The historical-political assessment, careful yet clear, received our full approval. And the attentive "modern night watchman" always kept the needs of the wheelchair user in mind. Overall: Great! When we are there again, we will definitely inquire about the next tour! A completely different city tour with digital support, very informative and entertaining. A great opportunity to immerse oneself in historical events at various stations using digital technology. and to compare old and new. In addition, the many interesting pieces of information via headset while on the go between the stations. Absolutely recommendable!

The slightly different way of walking with the night watchman through the streets of Leipzig. Very insightful and interestingly designed. I had heard some things before during the tour of the old town. However, there was also something new to discover. Definitely recommended. I do a guided tour every time I come back to Leipzig. A lot has changed. It's fun, too.
