Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Cliffs of Dover Day Trip

It was a great day to go! Leeds Castle was beautiful and Canterbury cathedral was amazing. Wait to eat in Canterbury. Rough ride back due to someone attempting to cut in front of bus, but driver and guide were lovely.

This trip was so fun. We traveled with two young children and the tour guide was great with them and it was easy to manage. My minor critique is that the trip to Dover took us to the port of Dover and I was expecting to be a little closer to the white cliff's. Overall this was a great trip with children and I would recommend.

Our tour guide, Megan, was super friendly and knowledgable but didn't drone on and on. She was absolutely lovely and made the trip incredibly enjoyable. Everything was well timed so we didn't feel rushed and got to really enjoy the sites. We were back on time and returned to the drop off location stipulated in the description, which was super helpful.

Alex our driver and Lesley our tour guide were a fantastic duo! They were thorough and professional. Lesley genuinely cared that everyone on the tour enjoyed their experience and Alex even stopped in East London on our way back for members of our tour who were staying on that side of London. She gave us a plethora of information that was fun and interesting - all of which enhanced our tour experience. Thanks to both of them for a great day and great way to explore these areas!

This was an excellent tour. Lesley (tour guide) and Alex (driver) were excellent. Lesley was so knowledgeable but also had a good feel for how much information was enough. Alex treated us to some extra sights as we had extra time due to good traffic, driving us to see the castle above dover. The sights were all spectacular. Because you are doing three sights in one day you don't have a lot of time at any of them but it lets you see a big variety of things. Totally worth it! Pro tip: Bring sandwiches or something with you for lunch so that you can use your extra time in Canterbury for exploring the cute town.

I am disappointed with the white cliffs that was awful and told to use the most smelly and dirty beach bathroom. Leeds castle was a huge let down. It was so small and done in 20 minutes. Go to Windsor or buckingham place for a better experience. Then I paid for the church with my tour. The tour guide ignored my request and I messaged Viator to help with it. I had to pay $70 pounds just for my family and I to go to the church. That was pricey. Don’t waste your time or money with this tour.

This was a good tour, but not sufficient for the money paid for it. The biggest objection was the Guide, Sasha. At the start she was so excited and excitable that even as we were boarding I had to ask her if she'd already had 6 cups of coffee. It was impressive at the start, but her over-enthusiasm became tiresome and frustrating as the tour wore on. By the time we were half through we were fairly sure she was on some sort of drug-uppers. By the end we were quite sure of it. Worse, at the beginning we were issued listening boxes for the Cathedral. Nice! But by the time we got there she said "Never mind" and merely pointed to the Cathedral and said, "Go look for yourself." Why not? I do not know where she disappeared to. So our tour of the Canterbury Cathedral itself, supposedly the highlight of the tour, was much less than it might have been. Also, at Leeds Castle there were voice boxes but we were not authorized to use them. She also several times would not wait for stragglers and marched on leaving some of the guests to try to find the group. On the whole I would give the sights an A, the very-talkative Driver of the bus a C and the Tour Guide a D-. KRM and JWB

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience going to Leeds Castle, White Cliffs of Dover and Canterbury Cathedral today. Manon was an exceptionally knowledgeable guide, extremely friendly and she knew all the best spots for great pictures (she even took on the task of Volunteer Photographer). We really feel this experience was more than worth the price we paid. Also, I feel the need to mention our driver, Greg, as he expertly navigated the bus while we all took in the sites.

Our tour was BEYOND expectations and simply wonderful. Our tour guide, Phil, was exceptional and really deserves a raise!! His comments were insightful and personal. I appreciated his passion for history and deep love for his home country. Not to mention, he greeted each of us individually on the bus and encouraged us to ask questions along the way. He spoke in a clear and engaging way and never tired when talking to us during the entire bus ride there and back! Very impressive. Additionally, our driver, Greg, also kept us safe and comfortable on the road. Couldn’t have asked for a better duo. Sincere thanks to both!
