Tasty experience, without as much participation as I expected
I booked this online for $45 and I strongly recommend people with children NOT book online for them. In person, the cost for a child to attend and make a bar is $5.
The store is cute and easy to find. The chocolate making class was fun and interactive. You are told about the process and allowed to eat a fresh cacao seed / pulp (tasty!) and try cacao nibs. You watch them temper chocolate and a few people in the group are offered an opportunity to try. Then you pour that chocolate into molds and are allowed to top your bar with a handful of some dried fruit or nuts. I wish there had been more interesting toppings. Cacao nibs would have been easy / cool. As it was, they had about 3 options for dried fruit (mango, pineapple, and cranberries) and 3 options for nuts (none of them are toasted). It wasn't particularly exciting. If an adult wants to make an extra chocolate bar, it is also $5. The chocolate bar then goes into a fridge to set, while you try some chocolate.
The chocolate tasting was the best part. The samples are shaped like tiny cacao pods, which is cute. The chocolate bonbons are delicious. I bought extras of these to take home; the passionfruit and pineapple were delicious. The sweet sparkling wine they give you is also tasty.
There's one bathroom and it is clean. Some of the prior reviews talk about fun drinks, but I didn't see any option for ordering these. There was no menu available for us to order drinks, and no one offered anything in terms of chocolate beverages.

Wonderful experience
This was such a wonderful experience. Our instructor was patient, kind even with the young child who was with us and very excited about the opportunity to make and taste different flavors of chocolate. The atmosphere was great, it was fun and interactive. I like that we each got an opportunity to take part in the process of cooling and molding our own chocolate. we would definitely recommend Nomé to our friends

Bitter sweet chocolate fun!
Excellent experience. Rolando was knowledgeable, engaging and kept the tour entertaining. The cacao transformation to chocolate was delicious! And we were very close to our hotel so we were able to walk there and back. A great way to spend a few hours.
