Truly incredible experience! I do not regret this excursion at all! It was really great in every way! 50km of cycling in the middle of the mountains.. what can I say other than that I could have continued for hours because the landscapes and the atmosphere were so pleasant! The same goes for the trek, all the side activities (rafting…), the landscapes, and the superb explanations from Francis our guide about Inca culture! By the way, special mention for Francis! Incredible from start to finish, always attentive, super friendly, a big heart like you see so rarely! I will miss him! 😢 As they say: VIVA EL PERU !!!
This tour was great, especially thanks to Francis who was a super guide, a big thank you to him for his kindness, his knowledge, and his thoughtfulness. The only small point to improve I would say is the hostel for the first night. The rest is great
We did this trek as a family with my two sons, aged 18 and 23, and we loved the experience. Jimmy Joe, our guide, was perfect, very kind and attentive to ensure that everyone was doing well and having fun. I recommend this trek to anyone who wants to discover the region and Machu Picchu, to see beautiful landscapes through intense activities. It was perfect!
Great experience with many activities! The guide Vicente was fantastic! A fantastic 4-day trek!
It was incredible! The activities were great, we had a lot of fun, it was well organized, we ate well, and above all, we laughed a lot!!!! Thank you to Vicente, THE BEST GUIDE FOR WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!! Kisses!!!!!
Incredible experience! Awesome activities, adrenaline, authenticity (learning to make coffee with the beans), incredible landscapes. Exceptional guide Jhimmy; we learned a lot about the country and Inca culture. Great experience
We had a wonderful experience on the Lares Trek. Every day was challenging but a blast. Our tour guide, Leo, made it truly unforgettable. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. If you want an opportunity to see more of Peru, its culture, and the people, I would definitely recommend.
First of all, thank you so much for your guide Luis. He was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about Inca culture and history. I was also in trouble due to my own mistake, but thanks to Luis's tactfulness, I was able to spend the rest of the tour safely and on time. I was a bit worried about my physical strength to get to the real Inca Trail, but this tour was balanced and relaxed, like the best of the Inca Trail. Of course, English language skills are required as it is a tour in English and Spanish, but (I am Japanese) if you can speak English or Spanish at all, foreigners can feel safe. Rafting and zip lines are optional and you have to pay for them, but we recommend them as they offer an experience you can't have in your own country. I was very happy to have a memorable experience with the wonderful Peruvian nature, wonderful guides and participants. If you come to Peru again, I would love to go and see Mr. Luis with your friends. Muchas gracias!!
Everything was very good, good people, always available to us, and making sure that nothing failed and that made us have an incredible experience.
Gracias Pablo por tu comentario, esto nos motiva a seguir haciendo lo que nos apaciona.
My husband and I did the Lares Trek. It was amazing! Luis is a great guide, who was always very relaxed and patient, so we could take our time and take all the pictures we wanted. The food was also very delicious, we were really surprised by that! We only saw one group of other tourists on the way, so that was also great. That's the summary, but for more details, keep on reading. On the first day, we visited a local market. Then, we relaxed at hot springs. In the afternoon, we started our trek. The landscapes were beautiful, and we saw many lama's and alpaca's. We spent the night at a house in a local village, it was very interesting to see how this family lives! Usually you sleep in a tent in their garden, but because it was very cold and there was space, the cook set up our tent in a shed. On the second day, the landscapes were even more stunning than the day before! The scenery seemed to change after every corner. Again, we ended up at a local village. This is where the Lares Trek ends. If you're a bigger group, you will spend the night in a tent in this village. But because we were a small group, we took a bus to Ollantaytambo and slept there. On the third day, Luis gave us a guided tour through Ollantaytambo. It's a beautiful town! We also had some free time to explore. In the afternoon, we took the train to Aguas Calientes. Again, we had free time. Also, the room there was really beautiful and there was hot water. Bring earplugs, because there is a lot of music in this town. Then, on the fourth day, we visited Machu Picchu! Luis knew exactly how to get in at the perfect time to see the sunlight go over the mountain. We walked around circuit 2, which is known to be the most complete route. Also, it's possible to climb Huayna Picchu halfway Circuit 2 (we had booked a ticket for this). So keep in mind that your timeslot for Huayna Picchu should be about 2 hours or more after your timeslot for Circuit 2. Inkas Destination knew this and booked the perfect timeslots. To conclude: it was a great experience and we can definitely recommend Inkas Destination!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Inkas Destination!
