Description

You will have the chance to see the Museum which serves to colonies the first being the Oman King and at that time it was a palace for the King, then after during the time of British when British took over it was then used as their headquarter that is Imperial British East African Company and later it was converted to be a Museum. Outside of the Museum are canons which were used to bomb the Sultanet at Witu.

Amazing guide and great experience
I did the walking tour with Kassim and it was incredible. He is so knowledgeable and explains everything very clearly. I love history and culture, and Kassim did not disappoint. He took us around Lamu and showed us all the places to see and is very well connected and knows many people. He also did an itinerary for us when I told him how long we were staying and made sure everything was smooth for us and listened to our needs. Highly recommend booking with Kassim.

Fabulous tour!!
Kassim gave us a wonderful walking tour of old town Kami. He is very knowledgeable, having grown up in Lamu and done an internship at the Lamu museum. He grew up in Lamu and has a deep connection to the people here and its traditions. He answered all are questions and more. I highly recommend his tour. It can be arranged at any time of the day during your visit.

Interesting and educational tour of Lamu Old Town
Kassim took us on a fantastic tour of Lamu Old Town where we got to experience places we simply wouldn’t have found on our own.
His knowledge of the history of the town and wider region is great too and we learned a lot during the tour.

Amazing!

Perfect City Walk
Kassim is the nicest guy you’ll meet on Lamu. The Tour was really interesting! A nice mix of cultural information and relaxed walk through the unique city with a new friend! We also saw some nice handcrafting places that not only show the skill of craftsmanship but also provide way better souvenirs than most tourist shops!

LAMU Old Town Tour
One of the best tours we did, Kassim was so knowledgable and thorough in answering questions. He was very patient and took his time during the tour, we visited a lot of local businesses. He was also very accommodating, friendly and took great photos of us.
