The tour culminates at the legendary Bet Giyorgis, a towering monolith that remains one of the most photographed wonders in the world. • Bet Gabriel-Rufael, • Bet Merkorios, • Bet Amanual, • And Bet Abba Libanos. Finally, visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, a huge monolith in the shape of a cross.
Evening Culture: As the sun sets over the highlands, we invite you to experience the local soul of the city. After dinner, head to a traditional Tej House (honey wine bar) to enjoy vibrant Ethiopian music and dance—the perfect end to an unforgettable day. 4 days visit to Lalibela with Sisay Day 1: Visit of the first group of churches Day 1 and 2 : hike in the mountains, sleep with a farmer family Day 4: Visit of the last group of churches My trip with Sisay was extraordinary ! Lalibela is a wonderful city with a lot of history. I also wanted to walk and discover the nature of the region. Sisay knew how to propose me a program completely adapted to my desires. We walked in the mountains around Lalibela to discover the small villages and the magnificent landscapes. We slept in a farmer's family who was very welcoming and friendly and made me discover the local culture and Ethiopian traditions. It was an experience that I will never forget! Sisay is a guide who promotes sustainable tourism by staying with local people in order to benefit the communities and to discover the real Ethiopian traditions by meeting the locals. I am a woman and I went alone for 4 days with him. He is very professional and reassuring! Moreover he speaks very good English but also French. Ideal for people like me who are not fluent in English. I recommend this guide 100%.
