Lake Bled Small Group Day Trip from Ljubljana (Castle and Island)
Description
In the heart of the Alps, we will visit one of the largest natural attractions in Slovenia - Lake Bled. Besides the blue-green water, we will be able to admire also the picturesque architecture of the Bled castle, which is built atop a cliff that rises above the lake. It is possible to reach the unique island in the middle of the lake with the traditional Pletna boat. There, we will climb up the 99 stone-step staircase to the church and ring the wishing bell. Alternatively, you can decide for a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, enjoying some of the most spectacular views of this picturesque lake. Our guides are best acquainted with the destination and with tips and other assistance they help you discover all the services that the destination has to offer.

A leisurely walk along the lake's most picturesque parts, where breathtaking views await at every turn. Note: If you do not choose any of the optional activities below (Bled Castle or traditional Pletna boat ride), you'll have free time (2 hours more) to enjoy a lakeside walk, a brief hike, a refreshing swim, and indulge in a delicious cream cake.
Optional: Bled Castle, perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Bled, offers a captivating visit with its rich history as the oldest castle in Slovenia. Explore its medieval charm and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscapes from this iconic Slovenian landmark.
Optional: A trip with a traditional Pletna boat takes you across the scenic Lake Bled to the island, where you can visit the church, ring the wishing bell, and enjoy stunning views.

We had a wonderful tour of Lake Bled visiting the Castle and Island. Our guide, Jure was very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We would highly recommend this tour and Jure as a tour guide. A very enjoyable and informative tour.
George (J P) was very accomodating. Learned a lot about Slovenian history and story about Bled. He gave us tips and recommendation what to try that are optional. Overall it was a pretty good trip and will definitely come back.

Brilliant visit to Lake Bled- perfect amount of time spent for the castle, on the boat and on the island. The trip started early in the morning which meant we were able to get to Bled quickly without it being too busy! Would definitely do this trip again and can’t recommend it enough
Absolutely fantastic day! Early arrival at the Castle made for a very peaceful experience. Highly recommend doing the boat ride to the island. David, our tour guide, is a professional and well-noticed nice guy. Thanks to his calm guide, I had a day in Slovenia I will never forget. The tour will take place in a small Renault minivan. So time will go on in a friendly atmosphere throughout. As far as the place we visited, it was very pleasant to eat cake from Bled Castle with a view of Lake Bled. We strongly recommend you join this tour as other stops were also super famous must-visit places. Just to add, when you attend in the summer, be sure to bring your swimwear and enjoy a swim in Lake Bled! I think it will be an unforgettable memory. Anyway, thank you, David!

Amazing views and swimming in the lake. Comfortable car and excellent guide/driver.
The guide made the trip wonderful. There was a bit too much walking for me at the castle, but it was no problem as he directed me to a nice place for coffee. The time at Lake Bled was amazing as I was able to sit by the beach and relax with an iced Coffee. Pick up and drop off was perfect. I arranged another excursion with the same company.
Matej was a great tour guide! He knows a lot about Slovenian and Bled history. He is a very enthusiastic, entertaining, and engaging tour guide who loves what he does and it shows! I had a great time while crossing an item off of my bucket list. This is a wonderful way to see Lake Bled and highly recommend doing this when you come to Slovenia.
