Starting with a gentle 40 minute hike on the “sentiero del Viandante”, an ancient trail on the foothill of the lake’s mountains, you’ll be able to take in views of the lake before reaching our final destination - a family mountain house passed down through the generations.
Here is where you’ll enjoy a traditional aperitivo with a postcard view of the Lake. Relax while you sip on a crisp Aperol Spritz, glass of wine or refreshing beer, accompanied by a delicious spread of fresh, locally sourced Italian treats.

The hike to the mountain house offers breathtaking views of Lake Como.
17.30: meet at Lavatoio di Mugiasco
17.30 - 18.10: hike on the 'sentiero del viandante', which will pass by a viewpoint of Lake Como (5 minutes for pictures), local mountain houses and woodlands (passing through without stopping) [approx 40 minutes total]. The hike will finish when we arrive at the destination.
18.10 - 20.10: arrival at the mountain house with an inside tour and brief history. Guests will have the chance to sit back, relax and take photos of the viewpoint showing Lake Como / Bellagio. An aperitivo will be served consisting of beverage of choice (aperol spritz, wine, beer, soft drink) and local Italian food (like prosciutto, focaccia, bruschette, burrata, locally grown tomatoes). We will spend approximately two hours at the mountain house, finishing with a view of the sunset before making our way back down to the start point

An enjoyable evening of food, drink, and fun in an unbeatable setting!
From start to finish, La Dolce Vita experience was fun and stress free. Marco was easy to communicate and coordinate with and Natalie complemented him with preparations made in the best ways possible. We enjoyed our short hike to the mountain retreat where we shared good food, drink, and stories. The view was outstanding and the evening will never be forgotten. We definitely feel as if new friendships were made over the hospitality that was shared.

WORTH IT!!!!
This was definitely a new experience for us both. I would not have expected how accommodating and friendly Marco and Natalie were. It was an amazing evening with the most exceptional views and I would highly recommend to couples or families that are used to or comfortable doing a moderate hike. The view is WORTH it!!
Natalie and Marco provided a delicious Italian spread and gave us a tour of their beautiful mountain home and eager for us to try the fruits from his trees :)

Incredible views across Lake Como and wonderful hospitality at the beautiful rustic mountain house
Myself and 5 friends did this experience last summer and it was absolutely magical and not something we would have ever been able to experience on our own, without relying on local experience/hospitality. Marco and Natalie were such amazing hosts, super friendly and welcoming. The spread was Italian perfection with something for everyone. The Mountain house itself is so rustic and charming, with views across the lake that absolutely wowed us. It is in such a peaceful setting, it would be a beautiful place to relax all year round. I will remember this experience forever!

An amazing experience with breathtaking views and delicious food!
Went on this hike with a group of my girlfriends and we had a great time - the views were incredible and the drinks and food were delicious. Our hosts took the time to make us feel comfortable and welcome and showed us around. A perfect evening activity when visiting Lake Como to enjoy with your friends/family!
