We had a wonderful experience exploring Kyoto’s historic center with our guide, Beck. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions throughout the tour. What we especially appreciated was how Beck explained the cultural details behind what we were seeing—not just the history. He taught us about things like the meaning of the cloths displayed outside restaurants and showed us the proper way to pray at a Shinto shrine. These little insights made the experience much more meaningful and helped us understand and appreciate Japanese culture on a deeper level. Beck was also very thoughtful about taking lots of pictures of us along the way, which was such a nice touch and gave us wonderful memories to take home. We highly recommend this tour, especially if it’s your first time in Kyoto. Beck made the experience informative, engaging, and personal. Thank you, Beck, for such a great introduction to Kyoto!

Beck provided us with a lovely walk through old Kyoto / gion. He was knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We learned about religion, history and architecture. My boys had a blast talking to him about Japanese culture. High recommend.
