Maria is the best tour guide I've ever interacted with. From the start, she was really flexible with creating an itinerary for us. She kindly let us know that our original itinerary was kinda crazy and recommended spots for us to see around Kyoto. She went out of her way to help my family and I dispute a small incident at the Kyoto train station. Along our journey, she was extremely patient with our group (we kept stoping...a lot) and a true treasure to talk to. The depth of care she even had for the group members, who had difficulty keeping up with our walk, was heartwarming. She didn't get upset or annoyed with any of our shenanigans. I would HIGHLY recommend Maria for your next visit to Kyoto. She was truly amazing <3. I can not say enough about her.
Fantastic walking tour with Milo who is so knowledgeable about local history, customs and culture. Great communication before and after plus he left us with lots of recommendations for food and visits for the rest of our day. Would definitely recommend as we didn't have a lot of time in this beautiful city. Milo is very flexible with what you do and took care of us making sure we stayed hydrated and suggested refreshment stops along the way.
Milo was a great guide throughout our 4-hour walking tour in Kyoto. Very versed in the history and culture and he planned just the right stops on the tour.
Our tour guide Iryna was the absolute best. She was flexible with our time and made sure that our day was comfortable, fun and educational. We left with knowledge of the people, history, and geography of Kyoto. She made sure we had breaks for our daughter (5 year old traveling half way around the world). She made food recommendations and even recommendations for experiences after our scheduled tour. Having booked private tours in other countries, this experience topped them all.
The tour was wonderfully planned, and we not only got to see beautiful places, but also learned many inspiring details about their history and culture.
Milo is a smart, thoughtful guide who is able to quickly switch gears and accommodate the needs of his guests. He is cheerful with a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Iryna was wonderful. Very personable and knowledgeable about Kyoto. We only had 3 hours and she filled them well. I would highly recommend
We booked a private tour for 2 hours with TripAdvisor. It was all really easy and I was quickly contacted by our tour guide Babita. She suggested a tour and some stops which we could visit and asked for our wishes and what we want to see and learn. After giving her some answers she adapted the tour accordingly. We met the next morning at the meeting point which she shared via Google Maps link and started our tour. She was super friendly and her Englisch was really good. She knew a lot about the history of Japan, Kyoto, Geishas, Buddhism, Shinto and all the temples. The tour was a perfect mix of knowledge sharing and we learned a lot. She was always open for questions and we even did 2.5 hours instead of 2 hours. I would highly recommend doing a tour with her. Thanks for everything
We had an excellent, custom tour at the start of our 3 days in Kyoto. Karine was an informed, upbeat and knowledgeable guide who listened to us and not only guided us to a few key sights to see, but who gave us great tips and thoughts on how to spend the rest of our time in Kyoto. As the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, there are lots of tourists in town. The crowds are heavy, so it was good to get some inside tips on the places that were second or third on everyone's lists, rather than 1st. We enjoyed Fushimi Inari and Keihan with Karine, then later went to the Bamboo Forrest, Ryoanji and Nijo Castle. Overall, a great time and we came away very excited about Kyoto.
Milos was amazing! He knew many things and a lot of History. We enjoyed every moment of this walk.
