From the very start, everything was seamless. I didn't even have to leave my hotel, I just waited in the lobby for a few minutes and the pickup arrived right on time. Our guide was excellent: genuinely knowledgeable about the mountain's history and culture, and just as importantly, warm and attentive the entire day. The moment we stepped off the bus at Kulen Mountain, I was hit with this incredible wave of cool, fresh air. It drizzled a bit during our visit, but that only added to the atmosphere and when our guide handed me an umbrella without a second thought, it was such a small but thoughtful touch that said a lot about the quality of the tour. The drive up was beautiful in itself lush green scenery, the earthy scent of the forest, cool breezes, and a glimpse of the striking Preah Ang Thom pagoda along the way. Our first real stop was the Amazing Cliff, and the view was jaw-dropping one of those moments where you just stop and take it all in. To top it off, the food served during the tour was absolutely delicious. Every part of this experience felt special. I'm already looking forward to going back. ★★★★★ Highly, highly recommend.

The excursion with Coco (guide) was a success ✅ After picking me up at the hotel and heading to the meeting point, we made a first stop to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of Phnom Kulen National Park, then we visited the River of a Thousand Lingas and the Reclining Buddha. We continued with a typical lunch and, to finish, we went into a magical place, the Kullen Waterfall, surrounded by vegetation, where we were able to enjoy a swim. In addition, Chenda was very approachable, kind and willing at all times to take photos and videos so that I can remember every moment

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our Koulen Mountain tour with our guide, Heang. From the very beginning, Heang was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole day feel relaxed and enjoyable while also sharing so much interesting information about the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area. Koulen Mountain is a beautiful place, and having a great guide made the experience even better. Heang knew the best places to visit and took his time to make sure we could properly enjoy each location instead of rushing through everything. We especially enjoyed exploring the waterfalls, the beautiful scenery, and learning more about the significance of the mountain. What really stood out was Heang's attitude. He was patient, helpful, and always happy to answer our questions. He also made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip and helped us get some fantastic photos. It felt much more like traveling with a knowledgeable local friend than simply taking a standard tour. If you are planning to visit Koulen Mountain, I highly recommend booking a tour with Heang. His knowledge, kindness, and enthusiasm made our day truly memorable. We would definitely choose him again on our next visit to Cambodia!

WARNING FOR SOLO TRAVELERS: THE GUIDE THREATENED ME! What began as a standard customer review regarding poor service and overpriced sus lunch markup devolved into explicit intimidation and genuine safety concerns during the return ride. Initial Issues (Brief Summary): My original review noted basic disorganization and the tour guide had to borrow wet wipes from other tour operators—and an inflated lunch package. Other competitor operators offer far better organization, excellent guide, and large family-style meals for the exact same price that my friends experienced. Post-Review Retaliation & Safety Concerns: HOSTILE THREATS: After seeing my initial review, the guide messaged my personal WhatsApp to argue with screenshots and confronted me verbally in an enclosed space. When I did not retract it, he threatened me directly in writing, stating: "Tour operator will call to tourist police to intervene (that you accuse us or our company)" ACTIVE INTIMIDATION DURING THE TRANSPORT BACK: While I was completely stuck in the tour van as the final passenger being dropped off in Siem Reap, the guide actively complained on the phone to his manager about my review and sent screenshots of it to both his boss and my hotel desk...while frantically deleting his own admissions. His phone was loud. FORCED SAFETY MEASURES: Being alone in the vehicle with a hostile guide threatening police intervention over honest consumer feedback made me feel completely unsafe. I was forced to share my live GPS location with my hotel manager for safety during the final 12 minutes of the drive. She was the only one that made me feel remotely safe when she received my panicked message. THE COVER-UP: The guide INSTANTLY subsequently deleted a stream of earlier messages in our chat attempt to scrub evidence of his conduct (though I retain some attached screenshots of his written police threats). Expressing honest feedback about poor tour experience and meal value pricing scheme should never result in a guide intimidating a solo traveler in a private vehicle or threatening police action in a foreign country. Save your money and book with a different company. Phnom Kulen is beautiful, but this specific operator is an unprepared, nickel-and-diming nightmare. The Unprepared Guide A guide can make or break a trip, and ours brought literally nothing to the table. He forgot umbrellas for a mountain trek and actually had to beg a rival tour company for wet wipes. You’re entirely on your own for basic gear, and he won’t even warn you that you need extra cash just to use the waterfall changing rooms. The Lunch Scam The company charges a $9 price difference for their "lunch included" package ($49 total), but then restricts you to one single entrée—no drinks, no appetizers, no family-style sharing like other reputable Siem Reap operators. When I pointed out that no dish on the menu costs $9, the guide hit me with absurd excuses via text: "It doesn’t mean lunch was $9... $49 is the tour package." "We include lunch because other companies do." "Petrol now is more expensive." They pocket your money, cap your food at cheap roadside noodles, and deliver zero service value. Verdict Visit Phnom Kulen, but do not book with this company. Other tour operators in Siem Reap offer better guides, transparent pricing, and actual hospitality for the exact same $49 price tag. Sayon was very nice and knowledgeable. He led us around Kulan National Park, and showed us all the cool spots. Definitely recommend taking the tour with him.

We had an amazing experience in the Kulen Tour with the Guide Chout. He explained everything Very well and was kind. The waterfall is amazing to swimm. Dont forget your swimm suit :)
