Istana Negara or the National Palace is the official residence of the King of Malaysia. This majestic edifice situated at Jalan Duta officially became the National Palace in November 2011, replacing the old palace in Jalan Istana. It has 22 domes, with the largest dome reaching up to a height of 40 metres. Note: Visits are limited to the outside.
KL City Gallery was founded in 1989 after the building saw various changes in purpose and occupier after it ceased to be used as a printing office. Tenants included the Ministry of Labour and the Postal Authorities. The building consists of two floors of exhibition space, a cafe, a museum shop, and acts as a tourist information centre.
The National Monument was built to recognise and honour those who gave up their lives in the cause for peace and freedom, particularly during the nation's struggle against the threat of communism. Within the National Monument grounds is one of the world's largest free-standing bronze sculptures. It was sculpted in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who was also the creator of the famous Iwo Jima monument in Washington DC.
On 31 August 1957, the Union Jack was lowered at Dataran Merdeka to mark Malaysia’s independence from colonial rule. Hence the name, Dataran Merdeka, which means ‘Independence Square’. In its heyday, the square used to be the venue for parades, cricket matches and other important occasions. Today, this historic heart of KL is preserved with beautifully manicured lawns, terraces and a fountain. Adjacent to Dataran Merdeka is the Royal Selangor Club, a mock-Tudor structure with an interesting history. The 100m high flagpole at Dataran Merdeka is one of the tallest in the world.
One of the most prominent and distinguished landmarks of KL, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is an enduring attraction amidst the rapidly changing city skyline. Built in 1897, the building was named after the reigning monarch at the time. The stately edifice served as the government administrative building during the British era. Constructed entirely of brick, it boasts a Mahometan or Neo-Saracenic style with an imposing porch, graceful arches, shiny copper domes and a 41.2m high clock tower. The building houses a Tourist Information Centre.

Masjid Negara is one of the most distinguished landmarks in the city. It has a unique star-shaped dome and a 73m high minaret. The National Mosque is situated fringing the KL Lake Gardens. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately when visiting the mosque. Women will be required to wear headscarves. Visitors who are interested in Islamic arts can visit the Islamic Arts Centre situated overlooking the mosque.

Booked tour 2 hours prior to departure, operator failed to notify that no tour guides available after confirmation was received and was unresponsive to messages until Viator was involved after paying for transport to pick up location
Poor experience. The trip was cancelled and I was not informed. I tried to call several times but no answer.

The operator cancel the trip and I haven’t get my refund back.Me and my family booked for a half day tour on 17th at 530pm. But due to unavailability of the driver the trip was cancelled and they told me to refund full amount back.
They charged double, then it was agreed in the reservation. They cange the tariff few hours before the pick up. More then this they sent an old dirty and broken car, feel unsafe driving.
Tina our guide as a lot of fun. She really knows the city, its history, and fun facts about its cultural diversity. We never felt rushed and she also made a point to suggest other places to see and activities to do based on our interests. We highly recommend!
They did not show up and didn’t even bother to cancel. I was left stranded, hoping they were just running late and would show up at any moment. There was no response to my texts or calls. Very disappointed—this wasted my valuable time. I only had one day, and they completely spoiled it. All I wanted was a quick tour.

We really enjoyed this tour which included many of KL’s iconic sites. The views from the top of the kL tower were fantastic and the war memorial was excellent. The river of life, textile museum, American garden and the British Club were also great. Our tour guide was very informative and enthusiastic and, unfortunately for my wife, he had a similar sense of humour to me. This is definitely a good tour for anyone on a short stay who wants to capture the essence of KL
If we could give zero stars, we absolutely would. We booked and paid for a 7-seater van to accommodate our group of seven. However, when the day came, the organiser never informed us that he didn’t have the van. Instead, he sent two small cars with drivers who were not tour guides. When we called to ask what had happened, the organiser was shockingly rude — yelling at us over the phone instead of offering any explanation or solution. This behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable. The drivers themselves were unfriendly and offered nothing in the way of guiding or customer service. They clearly weren’t tour guides, and the entire experience felt uncomfortable and unpleasant. By the end, we were so frustrated that we asked to simply be dropped off and left alone. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst activities we have ever booked. It felt dishonest and disrespectful from start to finish. Would not recommend under any circumstances — avoid this company at all costs.
