After a few hours of travel, we arrive at Ksamil, one of Albania’s most breathtaking seaside destinations. Known for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Ksamil is often compared to the Maldives of the Balkans. Here, you’ll have free time to swim, sunbathe, and explore the area at your own pace.
Take a dip in the calm, warm waters of the Ionian Sea, rent a kayak or paddleboard, or simply relax on the shore with a refreshing drink. For those who love adventure, you can take a short boat ride to the nearby Ksamil Islands, a small uninhabited paradise just a few minutes from the shore. After a relaxing time in Ksamil, we head to Saranda, a vibrant coastal city often called the "Gateway to the Albanian Riviera." While we won’t be stopping for long, you’ll have the chance to capture a few stunning photos of Saranda’s picturesque bay and charming promenade. Your guide will share a brief history of the city, which has seen Greek, Roman, and Ottoman influences over the centuries.
Next, we journey inland to one of Albania’s most famous natural wonders, the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër). Nestled in a lush forest, this stunning spring is a deep, crystal-clear water source with mesmerizing shades of blue and green. The exact depth of the spring remains a mystery, as divers have been unable to reach the bottom. As you arrive at this magical spot, take a walk along the wooden pathways leading to the spring, surrounded by untouched nature. Our guide Beni was great, trip was well organised. You are given time to roam freely and aren’t pressured into paying for any extras. Great value money!
This was honestly a memorable day, and Orgest was an exceptional guide. He was extremely organised from the beginning, with clear communication before the tour, all the pick-up details, confirmations and even a photo of the bus so we knew what to look for. The places we visited were beautiful. Ksamil was definitely the highlight, with the boat trip to the small island being a lovely experience. Sarandë was also great for a relaxing swim and walk along the promenade, and the Blue Eye and surrounding park were absolutely beautiful. We chose to walk through the park rather than take the "train", and the scenery was worth it. We had several unexpected situations during the day that were completely outside the guide's control, but Orgest handled every single one calmly and efficiently. He kept everyone safe, kept the tour moving, and most importantly, we didn't miss any of the planned stops. He even managed to adjust the schedule without rushing us through the attractions. The tour is very long, but considering the distance, traffic and everything that happened that day, the organisation was impressive. Orgest was professional, calm and genuinely cared about the group throughout the entire experience. He even messaged us the following morning to check that we were okay and with lots of tips to explore Tirana. What could have been a tough day turned into one of the most memorable and enjoyable days of our trip. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Orgest as a guide!
We are really thankful to Orgest Kamani -our tour guide- because he made possible for us to have a "stress-free trip" He looked after all the main matters, suggested us options and went through the excursions with the group...we just "enjoyed" being driven, toured, and brought back!!! 🫠... I noticed that Orgest really cared for the safety and well-being of "his" group... he explained possible risks and advised the safest options, based on his years of experience. For sure I would entrust my close ones to any trip with him.

We had an amazing day exploring Ksamil, Saranda, and the Blue Eye! The scenery was stunning, and it was such a fun experience. A special mention to our tour guide, Orgest, who was fantastic throughout the whole trip. We had such a great time with him, especially jumping into the Blue Eye together—it was definitely one of the highlights of the day! Orgest was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour, and especially Orgest as a guide. It was a very nice trip. The trip took a long time, but it was totally worth it!! In addition, August was a fine guide. He told a lot about the country and about the different places we went.
Ksamil has only 2 public beaches that are tiny and given the affluence at this time, you can not extend the towel.
