Konya Day Trip with Flights and Lunch in Istanbul

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Istanbul and head to the airport for your flight to Konya. Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin your exploration of this historic city.

Visit the Tomb of Shams Tabrizi, a spiritually significant site connected to Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Learn about Shams of Tabriz, a wandering Sufi mystic and Rumi’s spiritual mentor, whose meeting with Rumi in the 13th century transformed him and inspired his world-famous poetry and philosophy. Next, visit the İplikçi Mosque, one of Konya’s oldest and most historically important Seljuk mosques, closely linked to Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Next, visit the Museum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, Konya’s most important cultural and spiritual landmark and one of the most visited museums in Türkiye. Learn about the life and teachings of Mevlana Rumi and explore the museum’s exhibits. Afterward, enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. Then, take a panoramic city sightseeing tour, passing by the Taş Bina Museum, a historic Seljuk–Ottoman stone building in Konya, today used as a cultural and exhibition space closely connected with the Mevlana area. Finally, visit Ateşbaz-ı Veli, the Cook-Chef of Mevlana Rumi, one of the most symbolic figures of the Mevlevi Order, representing humility, discipline, and spiritual transformation through service.

At the end of the tour, head back to Konya Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, be transferred back to your hotel.
