Great time with family

What an awesome time on the water! 🌊 Our paddle guide Mr Lee was fantastic—super friendly, fun, and full of great stories and local knowledge. The scenery was incredible, the water was easy to paddle, and the whole experience was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We laughed, explored, got a little workout in, and had an absolute blast! If you're looking for something fun to do on the water, book this tour—you won't regret it! 🛶☀️ Already looking forward to doing it again! 🙌 Also hopefully we'll see Mr Lee on snow this winter!⛷️1 more thing don't forget to tip.

Elle was knowledgeable,...

Elle was knowledgeable, kind & fun. Great tour guide. It was very peaceful kayaking at our own pace. We didn’t feel rushed during the tour.

Peaceful kayak trip

Relaxing kayak trip good for beginners. We went as a family and 1 of my daughters thought it was too long. You need to bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen, long sleeves, or a hat. We saw a snake and a few birds. Osprey flew over a few times. I wish the guide talked more about the history and ecology of the area, but since you are spread out it’d be hard to hear everything. You will get sweaty and a little wet.

Relaxing

Very relaxing ride in a very calm canal. Lee, our guide was very nice and patient as I was looking for wild life to photograph. It turned to be short for me.

Operator response

Thanks for letting us know. Tours typically involve about 15 minutes of instruction and about 1.5 hours on the water. I am sorry to hear it was a little short.

Not worth the money. Could do the same by yourself

I love to kayak, and thought this tour would tell me about the area, the trees, wildlife etc. It was straight down, and back, no info unless I asked questions. ....with the mud, smell, and snakes. Could have done it alone and saved a lot of money. Had I have known, I would have been sure to do a sound trip, not "maritime forest" ie swamp.

Operator response

The environment in which you paddled IS in fact a maritime forest ecosystem and not a swamp. If you wanted to see a Cypress Swamp ecosystem you should have gone to the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Kayak Tour. Yes, snakes still live on Earth, and seeing them, turtles and birds make the tour special. And finally, yes, if you are that cheap and wanted to save $5 you could have just rented a boat and kept the comments to your self.

Excellent Eco-tour

We had an excellent paddle on the Alligator River with our guide, Trey. He kept a good pace, with lots of info about the plants and wildlife. We saw lots of butterflies, few birds, and yes, several gators. The wetland is a maze, so we were delighted to have a guide to lead us. The kayaks were in good condition and easy to steer. We highly recommend.

Operator response

Thanks for the kind words!! Let's do it again sometime and paddle a different ecosystem!!
