Our walking tour is something the entire family will enjoy. You'll be entertained as a guide leads you through downtown Manteo telling you the spooky tales that make the Outer Banks one of the most haunted beaches in the United States. Some of the stories you'll hear include; the Lost Colony, Blackbeard, the Cora Tree, and much more. Our tour also offers guests the chance to use an EMF detector. EMF detectors are commonly used on paranormal investigating television shows. You'll have the time of your afterlife at OBX Ghost Tours.

Itinerary
Hear the history and ghost stories of the historic Pioneer Theatre in Downtown Manteo. Andy Griffith hung his own marque for a showing of his movie A Face in the Crowd. Hear accounts of ghostly activity of this historic theatre and have the chance to purchase concessions.
We will spend some time on the dock of the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse to discuss the Legend of Theodosia Burr and the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
We will walk past the Elizabethan II, a replica ship similar to the one that the Lost Colony of Roanoke voyaged on when coming to the new world.
From the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse, guests will get a beautiful view of the Roanoke Island Inn. We will discuss the history and legend of Roscoe Jones, former Postmaster of Manteo who is said to haunt the gorgeous inn.

Guide Stacey was very knowledgeable of local history and a good storyteller
Very cool/unique experience to learn history of not just the area we were in, but all of outer banks. Stacey was a great story teller and had lots of personal experiences that made it even better. Not a huge walk around the town but very cool to hear all of the history and about the lighthouses, etc.
Stacey was fun she made it a cool tour
We took the Outer Banks ghost tour in Manteo, and our wonderful guide was Stacey. She told us that her background includes both theater and paranormal credentials, and she used both in telling us eerie historical stories mixed in with her personal ghostly encounters. The nighttime walk along the Manteo waterfront was a beautiful backdrop to the spooky stories.
BJ was an excellent tour guide. She was very engaging. A great tour for a family with teenagers.

Stacy was a great fun and knowledgeable guide. It was great to hear the stories about the local past. And her personal experiences were super cool as well. They were all very nice to allow our 8 year old to handle the ghost detective device the most keeping him interested as all of the adults got to hear about the neat history. She even told us about some other cool places to check out while in town
