I got to see Kibera from a different perspective, learn about the community, and meet some amazing people along the way. It felt authentic and personal rather than just being a typical tourist experience. A Must-Do in Kenya
We really enjoyed this tour with Hillary, and it was one of the first things we did after arriving in Kenya. We brought our two young daughters with us, and it ended up being such an important experience for all of us. It was humbling to see firsthand how differently some people live from what we are accustom to and we left with a new level of respect for their culture and resilience.
Hillary was an excellent tour guide! It was especially meaningful to have someone from the community show us around and share his own experiences and perspective. He was friendly, respectful, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much from him, and it was clear how much he cares about his community and the home he loves.
Our favorite part was visiting the school. I didn’t realize that some children in Kenya face barriers to accessing even a public education, so seeing a school created for children who otherwise might not have that opportunity was really special. The kids were so bright, kind, and happy, and it was something our whole family will remember.
Everywhere we went, we were met with so much warmth and kindness. This experience really set the tone for the rest of our trip and instantly opened our hearts to the wonderful people of Kenya. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting this great place.

A “must” see experience in Nairobi !!!!!!
Thank you Hillary and Kelvin for the wonderful tour. This tour is one you won’t want to miss if you are visiting Nairobi. It is a unique opportunity to see the Kibera slums from those who live there and are proud of their upbringing. It is their home now, so when you go they helped us to see it in a completely different perspective. They were so kind and made us feel safe. We loved the variety of things we saw and an upfront view of how these wonderful people make a living. We loved visiting the school and felt the warmth and appreciation from all of them, but especially the children. Thank you Hillary and Kelvin.
