Fun kayaking experience.
We had a great kayak through the mangroves. Our guides were great at communication and sharing information about the area and mangroves. We saw a small snake but no other wildlife. However it was still a very enjoyable experience. The swim in the mangroves was a highlight. Enjoyable light refreshments after of fruit/cookies and water/coffee.
Be sure to wear your swim wear or quick dry clothing. Take a dry bag to keep a dry set of clothes.

Fantastic experience
What a fantastic experience! Everything was very well arranged, but especially the trip itself is very special. Under Ohm’s expert guidance, we visited the most special places. Occasionally chopping through the mangrove to create a small passage. Take it easy to paddle and enjoy this special piece of nature. Bonus wax and group of monkeys jumping out of the tree into the water.

Kayaking in the mangroves
Great little trip where they take you into the mangroves by long tail boat. You then transfer to a pontoon and into your kayak.
We didn’t do as much paddling as I expected probably only about 1.5km hence the 4 stars.
The good thing is that we saw no other companies or kayaks
All staff and especially the guide was awesome
This tour caters for a max of 6 and minimum of 4. I was the only person booked on my day so contacted the tour company and agreed to bring my tour forward by 2 days. The tour company done this for me but then trip adviser cancelled my trip and changed me 100%. As I was out on a dive trip Tour company contacted trip adviser whom assured them I would receive a refund but I needed to book again. I booked but price went up $10 bit annoying so won’t be using trip adviser for a while

I am glad that you enjoyed your trip. We generally kayak for about 2 hours, which is usually enough to tire out most people. But it can depends on the group and the tides a bit each day.
As for the confusion with the booking, I can only appologise for this. Unfortunately, like most online booking agents, Trip Advisor does rely on a digital algorithm which doesn't offer much flexibility and is easliy confused by small changes in reality. The prices published can also change depending on exchange rates. This is part of the reason why we are doing our best to avoid automatic and AI backed systems in our office.

Best time on the mangroves
This half-day kayaking adventure through the Khao Lak mangroves was easily one of the highlights of our trip. It was the perfect escape from the crowds and gave us a completely different perspective of Thailand’s natural beauty.
The experience starts with a peaceful cruise along the river, which already feels relaxing, but the real magic begins once you get into the kayaks. Paddling through the narrow, winding streams surrounded by dense mangrove trees felt incredibly immersive—quiet, serene, and almost untouched. You really get a sense of how unique and important this ecosystem is.
Our guide was with us every step and gave us lots of good background to the mangroves. He was amazing.
This tour strikes the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. It’s not overly strenuous, but still feels like a meaningful, hands-on way to explore nature. If you’re in Khao Lak and want something beyond the usual beach activities, this is absolutely worth doing.

Peaceful afternoon
Despite not seeing any monkeys or snakes this trip was excellent! Private tour with Man. It was peaceful and serene. He gave us some tips on places to check out in khao lak during our stay. Perfect getaway

What a shame the monkeys didn't show themselves this time! They often do come to watch us paddle past. Still, it is better like this when we know that they are able to live naturally instead of being fed and trained as a tourist attraction.

Relaxing mangrove experience!
Lovely and relaxing canoeing through the mangroves and listening and looking out for wildlife. Our guide Man was knowledgable about all aspects and allowed us to take our time and enjoy the waterways.
A very chills way to spend a morning and see the mangroves!
Would totally recommend the company and this tour as a half day trip from Khao Lak

Great adventure!
Second time with this company! We have done this tour back in April 2023 and returned this year for the same in December 2025. We love this tour so much! You can spot lots of wildlife and the thing we enjoyed most is that you have your own kayak and it gives you some independence too. The station is in the middle of the mangrove and you get to have some fruits before leaving. We saw a snakes, spiders and monkeys on this tour.

Worth it if you like nature.
