Must see attraction
Very cheap and fun. Climbing lighthouses and seeing how they lived is definitely something my wife and I will be doing more often. It definitely beats a stairmaster to work off the key lime pies you’ll eat out there. But the best thing is when you reach the top you can see basically the entire Island and there’s little signs on the railings that point out historical sights.

Great lighthouse and museum
Great Lighthouse to tour. Beautiful views of the island and easy stair climb. Great museum in the the lighthouse headquarters with very interesting history. Alot of the history of the light house was run by women. Great little gift shop and bathrooms. This place is worth the stop if you like lighthouses! The museum is air conditioned!

A Historic Landmark With the Best Views in Town
The Key West Lighthouse was a great quick stop during our visit to the island. Built in 1848, this historic landmark offers a glimpse into Key West’s maritime past and the lives of the lighthouse keepers who maintained it.
The highlight is climbing the 88 steps to the top, where you’re rewarded with amazing 360-degree views of Key West, the ocean, and the surrounding area. The exhibits inside the keeper’s home add interesting historical context, and the grounds are peaceful compared to some of the busier attractions nearby.
It’s an easy visit to combine with the Hemingway Home since they are located across the street. We spent about an hour here and enjoyed the history, views, and unique perspective of the island. Definitely worth a stop while exploring Old Town Key West.

It was ok.
It’s a nice property. No place to really rest or sit. The lighthouse is nice but very cramped walking up and down the steps to the top. The view from the top is incredible.
In order to use the restrooms on the grounds you must exit the paid part.
As for the paid part, expensive. Especially if you have teens.

Save you feet
It was a great experience that allow the basic two for one site. It is a solo tour and I would suggest that you take the hop on and hop off as it the best way to see the city and stops at all the places but it will safe your legs

Great Place - lots to learn
This type of place is right up our alley!! We love learning about local history and have toured several lighthouse keeper's quarters in the past. This is the first time we've been able to actually climb up into the lighthouse and it was fabulous. There are 88 steps up a spiral staircase to get to the top, but the view was worth it!! Inside the keeper's quarters are actual possessions of the keeper's which was very interesting. There is quite a lot to read which we found fascinating but younger kiddos might find it boring. The gift shop has a lot of unique things if you're looking for something different to take home as gifts.

simply a rip-off
This lighthouse for $17 is simply a rip-off. The tower is nothing special, the museum is nothing special, and the view is just so-so. A fair price would be $5 to $8. But this is just a scam, and I would advise everyone against paying that much.

Great view and get the steps in
Wanted to get a different view of Key West, we decided to visit the lighthouse.
It was a lovely clear day so perfect to visit and I liked the fact they had the lighthouse facts on the entry, probably to stop the usual question of “can you see Cuba” being asked hundreds of times a day 🤣.
The history of the lighthouse is really interesting and very informative and had really interesting exhibits.
The lighthouse is really well looked after, be aware it is 88 steps up a staircase but it is worth the steps as the view is amazing.
It was spoilt by some annoying people who moaned all the way up the stairs and then the view wasn’t as they expected, I wanted to say if they had been quiet going up the stairs they may have saved their breath to get up the stairs.
Well worth a visit.

Best views in town
The lighthouse is located just across the street from the Hemmingway house. So it’s an obvious visit just afterwards.
You need to be able to climb the stairs up to the top of the lighthouse, but once you get there, you’re rewarded with the greatest view in town.
The lighthouse keeper Museum is also interesting and shows the technical aspects of the light.
