The fishing experience was fabulous! We caught our limit of halibut, love that all we had to do is fill out a quick form and the cleaning and shipping the halibut home was sooooo easy, so professional! The best part of the trip was our Captain Talon, he made the experience the best! Such an impressive, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and enjoyable young man!
We really enjoyed fishing with Dennis. He was so knowledgeable. The views from where we were on the boat were so great and we saw sea lions sun bathing on shore. We all caught some amazing fish and had such a great time. We also went to eat at the fish house afterwards and the food was incredible. Would definitely take this trip again!

We had the pleasure to have a morning adventure with Captain Garrett. Baranof Fishing Excursions picked us up peer side with friendliness and jokes. It was a great way to start the morning. We had our fishing paperwork ready, however Baranof was very efficient and organized in helping others obtain the needed paper for the fishing morning. Then the adventure began… we had a pleasant ride to our spot, where Captain Garrett had a wealth of information about fishing and Alaska. We were on fish within the first few drops. We caught our limit and are sending home our catch. Captain Garrett and Baranof Fishing Excursions were extremely helpful in that process as well. Huge shout out to Captain Garret for a great adventure!

Met at the pier by Baranof representative and guided to the docks. Getting the state fishing tag for the day was easy and was outfitted with boots, rain gear as needed. The fishing vessel was new and in great condition. Our guide was young and a bit quiet until he warmed up to the four of us. It started out a bit shaky as he really didn't say much to us when we were venturing out to the fishing area, and as he was rigging things up he didn't talk to us at all. It was feeling a bit like he didn't want to be there. Once he had the poles rigged up he simply said "okay". We actually had to ask what we needed to do. Again, he was young and of a quiet nature, but as the fishing commenced and everyone on the boat started warming up to each other it got a lot better. He was a great guide and new his stuff as far as I could tell. We caught a very unusual Ratfish and he seemed quite knowledgeable about this prehistoric species of fish. We caught our limit of Halibut and had a great time.

Captain Dennis Metzger got us on fish quickly, and all 5 on board caught a Halibut. Had time to troll for salmon but only caught 1 small one. Also hooked 2 sharks which were released. Had a great time, and fulfilled an item on my bucket list.
