Kefalonia Wine Tour

Julia, thank you so much for a fantastic afternoon with you today; it was a great experience and the 4 of us really enjoyed it. You were helpful, informative and knowledgable and we loved learning about the olive oil and wine making in the region. Appreciated the door-to-door pick-up (😉) and you were a lovely guide to spend the tour with and introduce us to some delicious local wines. We would definitely recommend to other visitors to your beautiful island - thank you again.

Julia our guide was wonderful. So knowledgable and passionate about her families vineyard, wine and Kefalonia. Being able to see her families farmhouse, eat local produce felt like authentic Kefalonian experience and the trip to the winery at orealios Gaea finished the whole experience off perfectly

We had the Kefalonia wine tour yesterday morning with the amazing Julia. From the minute we were picked up from our villa, Julia made us feel welcome. She showed us an insight into true Kelfalonian life as a farmer. We experienced her family’s olive groves and tasted the grapes from her vineyard. Next stop was some delicious food and wine at her family home as well as history lesson in producing and storing wine and olive oil. The final stop on our trip was to orealios Gaea vineyard to sample amongst others the Robola wine which Julia’s families grapes contributed towards. The views at the vineyard were breathtaking and again Julia’s knowledge of each wine we tasted was fabulous. What an exceptional experience from start to finish and was a highlight of our holiday. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kefalonia.

We had the BEST day ever on this wine tour from start to finish was just perfect, we were picked up by the lovely Juliea she was absolutely lovely so warm and welcoming took us to where she grows the grapes and olives it was so interesting then we went to her home and had a taste of wine and a typical Greek lunch then we went on to a beautiful place to taste the wine the setting was stunning especially the views, I certainly would recommend this wine tour and we will definitely do it again when we return to Kafalonia thank you once again Juliea for making our day so special

Great experience. I'd seen the word 'authentic' in other reviews and that sums up the tour and the host. Julia was excellent - knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. I loved her ethos that the quality of the product is more important than profit. She keeps groups very small, making for an intimate experience. As a family of 3, we were the only people on the tour which felt special. I was unsure how much our 8 year old would like this tour, but he really enjoyed it, and Julia always made sure he was included. Highly recommended!

A wonderful insight into the lives of those living and working in the olive and wine industries of Kefalonia. Julia really is as good as everyone says - a kind, funny and natural guide who knows all there is to know about olives and wine, the wisdom having been passed down the generations of her family. Simple but delicious food, the freshest olive oil and great wine.

My partner and I had the wine tour today, it was such a great experience which we both would highly recommend. Our guide, Julia was fantastic, very friendly with great knowledge of the wine and kefalonia. We visited the vineyard and olive Grove followed by a light lunch at her family home. We followed this up by visiting the winery where we sampled various wines. What a great day, thank you Julia, Scott and Ashley.

My wife and I had the best time on the wine tour! Julia is so wonderful and it was a pleasure to get to know her and learn about Kefalonian wine and the island more generally. This was the highlight of our trip and I could not recommend it more highly!
