Description
Starting at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, you and your group will kayak UNGUIDED down a scenic five mile stretch of river as it moves it's way through the Tonto National Forest. Participants often witness wild horses, birds and other wildlife that cool off in the river during the summer months. We have the special privilege of being the only kayak rental company located right on the Salt River, so our trips launch directly from our site. Each reservation includes a kayak (or with advance request a paddleboard), paddle, PFD/personal flotation device and return shuttle to starting site. This is an UNGUIDED kayaking experience. While this is primarily a scenic float there are sections of swift water and kayakers often tip out – so be prepared to get wet.

Fun adventure down Salt River
They made it easy. Very friendly. We had a first time kayaker and she had no problem. Our trip was 2 hours which was a good amount of time. Horses were amazing. Would do it again.

Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch Kayak Trip
Absolutely gorgeous ride down the river, so much wildlife to see and hear. The wild horses were an added bonus too! The staff at the guest ranch were wonderful, friendly and helpful. I did the trip solo and unguided.

Great time!!
We had an amazing time!! If you are from the east coast and you are used to the rivers and lakes, you must give this a go. The scenery, the little rapids and the people that work for the outfitter were top notch!! If we ever come back, this will definitely be on my list to do again.

You will not regret it, trust me!
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! so much fun, straight out of a movie. the views were beautiful, the sights for 2 whole hours were insane. would 100 percent recommend. we came from california and booked this as an excursion as something to do for fun that we saw on social media. we trusted the people who recommended it, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! trust me when i say, you don’t want to miss out! i can’t wait to come back to arizona to do this kayaking again.
