Kayak tour in Xochimilco

This tour was wonderful, filled with wildlife and the guides did a great job of keeping the group on time. Seeing the sunrise at the halfway point was my favorite part. The canals had so much natural beauty.

Roberto is a great guide, pleasant, knowledgeable about Xochimilco, its history, and its traditions. We did the 10 am tour, there aren't as many people as in the sunrise experience, it is more personal, more leisurely. Maybe there is time to meet the guide, he gave us personalized recommendations. Everything super pleasant. I recommend it 1000%.

Roberto was a fabulous guide! Our float was peaceful, the canals were beautiful, and we learned so much about the history of Xochilmilco.

Kayaking around the chinampas of Xochimilco was fantastic. Lots of birds, plants, and interesting history. And of course, the kayaking was fun. It was great to get out of the city and into nature for at least a few hours. Roberto and Roman were great guides. Roberto reached out via text and met me on the street to make sure I got to the right place. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the ecology, history, and culture of the Chinampas. I learned a lot. It was a great experience.

This was a great trip for an outdoorsy couple who wanted to explore the historic canals without the headache or start time of a party boat. We have lots of paddling experience, so this was a perfect trip for us. However, our guide Roberto was very experienced and knowledgeable — beginners would also be in good hands with this company. We loved being up close and personal with the chilampas, wildlife, and passing boats. The kayaks are sit-on-top kayaks, so you will likely get splashed while paddling. I recommend wearing pants that do not hold water. We did the afternoon tour (4pm for us) which was not at all busy; in fact, it was just us and our guide. This was awesome, but I will note that the pickup spot was a little difficult to find (service was spotty) and we stuck out as tourists. There were also a couple of kids on bicycles that tried to lead us to the port where the party boats dock, likely hoping for a tip, but were persistent in a way that worried even our uber driver. However, they were ultimately harmless, and Roberto was both punctual and responsive so we quickly felt at ease. Would recommend this trip to those looking for a more serene and less obtrusive introduction to the Xochimilco canals than party boats can offer, sporty people excited by kayaking, or naturalists wanting to connect more intimately with the place.

Roberto was such a great guide and really showed me an in depth insight into xochimilco. If the party boat isn’t your vibe like me I highly suggest!

Our Guide Roberto was amazing, because he had profound knowledge of the area , history and economy. We booked the Canoe Tour at 10h , which was perfect, due to the fact, that hardly anyone is on the Canals and we had a calm, relaxing experience , connecting with nature and wildlife. Roberto and the Tour is highly recommended. ♡ The meeting point is also away from the crowd.

Our tour was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide was so fun and knowledgeable and we loved spending time with him. The canal and views were stunning and perfect for kayaking. Truly an unforgettable experience
