Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Centre Half day tour

This was a magical experience and we spent and afternoon with the giraffes , hand feeding them and interacting with them. I would strongly suggest that if time permits, this experience should not be missed. We had visited Kenya with the purpose of doing a safari - however the safari experience is totally different comma with you staying far away from the animals and not feeding them. This was quite the opposite and we were very close to the giraffes and hand feeding them which is something my children really enjoyed. We were fortunate enough to have our guide who was extremely experienced - however I see that many other visitors did not have one and perhaps did not understand the whole aspect of the giraffes' care. We were not as impressed with the Karen Blixen museum and did not spend too much time there , however we felt was worth a look due to the historical nature of this museum. We had not seen the movie called “out of Africa " And perhaps would have enjoyed the visit of the museum had we seen it before. Overall, I would recommend this experience.

The giraffe center is a must do. Karen Blinken museum is a must do if you are a huge Karen Blinken admirer. Our guide Paul is great!!!

Excellent tour hosted by Paul. We were well looked after throughout, and also took us to additional spots outside of the itinerary including the Kazuri bead factory and some additional Karen Blizen frequented spots. Genuine, interesting and approachable tour guide who is more than just a driver for us. Whilst it is a half day tour and timings might be tightbfor bigger groups to see both sites comfortably, he does ensure you get the most out of both sites. If you book the later slot (12.30pm) be prepared your return to your hotel will mean getting stuck in the famous Nairobi rush hour traffic! Highly recommend and if we return, we will use again.

We travelled to the Giraffe center in Nairobi and the Karen Blixen Museum. Our guide Paul did an excellent job of showing us these sights as well as a couple of neat side trips.

Wonderful guide and experience. Not only were the destinations enjoyable, but the ride to the destinations itself was educational and entertaining.

It's certainly worth visiting both the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen museum. The guide, Paul was very knowledgeable about the history of the district.

Loved our guide, James. Very informative and set us up with great tours and experiences at the Giraffe Center and the Karen Blixen Museum. Also, made a side trip to the Bead factory. While driving, gave us a lot of insight about the different areas. Highly recommend this experience and hope you get James as your guide!

Paul, the guide, was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The museum is rather for people interested in Karen Blixen, whereas the Giraffe Center offers a nice form of infotainment: feeding giraffes and learning about them.
