Really enjoyed the tour. Even though I'm a native I find that I learned something every time and I have been twice. Your Kansas tour guide did well. Her Pittsburghese was lacking.
We stopped by the store the night before to check things out. The lady at the desk was very informative about the options and the various pickup points. Our guide (possibly Destiny??) and driver Darryl were very nice. The guide was informative and you could tell she loves her job and researching all things Pittsburgh. She handled questions very well. Her delivery was well paced and had just the right amount of humor (Dad type jokes!). The tour covers architecture, history, restaurants, and bars. Well worth the price and we don’t have to drive around ourselves and find parking.
We booked this tour as a time filler, but it ended up being a highlight AND helped us decide places to eat at and visit! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour, and doing it towards the beginning of your trip can be very helpful.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. We originally weren’t sure if this would be boring but it ended up being a highlight of our trip. I would suggest doing it at the beginning of a trip because it helped us choose places to go. They give great suggestions and you see the whole city.
It’s a great tour of the city. You can stay on or go with the hop on/hop off very easily if you change your mind. I enjoyed it and learned so much about this beautiful and interesting city!
The tour started late without communication. Other than that it was a good experience. Be sure to check the weather.
Perfectly timed 2.5 hour bus tour of Pittsburgh. We hit all the spots that we wanted to see and learned a ton about a city I’ve been to over 100 times as a kid and adult. Driver was super nice and our guide was knowledgeable and funny. I would definitely recommend. Worth every penny!!
In spite of the rain, this was a great tour of Pittsburgh. As a first time visitor to the burgh, this helped me plan for my days here.
This tour consisted of the guide saying "this here is...... " while pointing at buildings and landmarks and providing bits of information on each. Having scanned other reviews I realize the humor is built into the script but honestly, not a single silly pun elicited as much as a brief chuckle from anyone on the tour. I would suggest a revamp of the material, because after a while the delivery became an annoyance. I did leave with an appreciation for all that Pittsburgh has to offer, so thank you for that. I also would like to add that the lady at your store location was lovely and very helpful.
This tour was comprehensive and informative. The state of the bus itself was problematic though. There are a limited number of seats inside on the first level of the bus, but half of them were uninhabitable due to the condensation leaking from the air conditioner. Thus, it was only possible for about six people to sit down there, leaving the rest at the mercy of the heat and thunderstorms on the open air section of the bus. The driver and tour guides were great. Viator didn’t advertise that this is a hop on hop off bus, which irked me since that ate up a lot of extra time stopping every so often to let people on and off. If not for that, the tour could finish in under 2 hours, much would have been preferable for me. And my kids, who started to get antsy. You get to see all the sights though, and so many bridges!
