We meet on the stairs in fron of the Old Synagogue, on the main street on the Jewish Quarter
Description
Poland was once a home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the world and a center of this thriving civilization was Kraków. Its historical Jewish district is a jewel of Jewish art and architecture. A place where 7 ancient synagogues, that amazingly survived the destruction of World War II and the Holocaust, stand witness to the test of time.
During our tour we will discover the historical context of the local Jewish community, talk about the death and destruction of World War II but also witness the amazing Jewish culture’s revival in contemporary Kraków.

Interesting & Informative Tour
We took a tour of the Jewish quarter with Magda, whose energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Magda's knowledge of the area and it's history was impressive, and we learned so much from the 2.5hr tour. Highly recommended.
Operator response
Magda is what we call in Polish "living silver", exactly as you described! Very happy you enjoyed the tour and her company, thank you for the review and all the best!

Meaningful, engaging tour
Our guide was wonderful. Kazimierz is such a beautiful place, and this tour provides great context for visits to Schindler's Factory and a trip to Auschwitz.
Operator response
Exactly as described - the best order of visit is starting with our Jewish tour as it provides the context for places dealing with the history of WW2. Thank you very much for the review, all the best!

Big Tom
What an experience!
Big Tom was our guide, a very tall, highly knowledgeable and friendly fellow. The weather was miserable, started as drizzle then it hooted down but because Tom was so good, we stuck with him to the end.
The tour is great and shows you areas you may not otherwise have seen. Krakow is full of history and Tom is an amazing historian.
The walk was around 2.5 hours long. You pay your guide what you feel is adequate but I believe the average rule of thumb is between £15 & £20 per person.
There were 5 or 6 different nationalities in our group who all commuted very well with Tom.
If you have time, book a walk.
Operator response
We are very sorry for the weather, this July is a bit miserable... Fortunately, even if we have no control over the weather, we have control over our guides' quality and Big Tom delivered, as always!! We are very happy You enjoyed the tour, all the best!

Really enjoyable tour. Magda is the best guide I´ve ever been on a tour with. Highly recommended!
I booked for the Jewish Quarter tour with Walkative in English. To my surprise, only my mom and I were present for the tour. It was a huge surprise that 12 people didn´t show up for the tour. Any other tour guide would have declined to have the free walking tour for two people. I was elated to know that Magda was still going to take us on the tour. It was a lot of fun and informative. She took us to many sites and explained everything patiently. She did not rush anything even if we were just two. We had the time of our lives. I am very grateful to her for such a wonderful time. This tour was one of the main highlights of my trip in Krakow. Rest assured you will be in good hands with a tour with Walkative (especially if you have Magda as a tour guide). I will recommend this to all my friends and family who will visit Krakow in the future. Thank you Magda for such a wonderful tour. There are a very few guides like you and believe me I have had my fair share of experience with guides.
Operator response

Another day, another...
Another day, another fantastic Walkative tour on my trip to Poland. Michal was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the Jewish Quarter and how it is today. He had thorough answers to all of our group's questions and plenty of great recommendations for further exploration in this part of the city.
