Jamaica Luminous Lagoon Private Tour with Transportation

Starting daily at sunset, our famous Luminous Lagoon you will see things that will make you appreciate the beauty Mother Nature. As the boat start its engine the organisms begin to glow, you will see an eerie light show illuminating from the back of the boat and all around from the wake. This lagoon, surrounded by mangroves, is home to microscopic organisms that emit a bio-luminescent light when agitated. The water glows a beautiful blue and becomes illuminated when these organisms are disturbed. As the fish in the lagoon swim and dart around, you can see their outlines as streaks of light, shooting around in the darkness of night. When it rains, the lagoon ‘lights up’ with the drops of water dancing on the surface. Truly an amazing experience! Plan ahead and bring a towel and swimsuit so you can take a swim during the night-time tour on the Luminous Lagoon to illuminate yourself and the waters around you. This tour of the Luminous Lagoon takes approximately 35-40 minutes.

The lagoon is the best place to see the microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates. Luminous Lagoon offers a 30 minute guided tour of the lagoon where you are able to see the natural wonders of the water as it glows. As the guide informs you of the science and history behind the glow of the water you are invited to enjoy a swim in the lagoon. As you embark to the shore you are entertained by mellow music to prepare for the next 30 minute of the tour. You'll receive a complimentary drink and can sample the savoury treats of the Jamaican sweets. The fire blower and limbo party expert now treat you to an entertaining and interactive show.

If we were staying at a resort in the Rosehall area, the trip would have perhaps been worth it. But 1-1/2 hour drive (each way) for the time at the Lagoon and what we saw, really was not worth it.

Excellent experience, a unique activity that you must do while visiting Montego Bay,! Again thanks to Cory our tour guide from Bless Up Tours and transfers to take us safe to this activity.
What a great private excursion we had and to have a driver like Chaviz was a plus. He made sure we made it to our destination safe and back safe to our hotel. He made sure we were comfortable with our trip and he made our experience fun. The waters were like magical and a must see and do if your in Jamaica.
It was not I expected because there were young clowning boys' loud music on the boat. One of the guises took my pictures in the water but there of the worst quality despite the fact that he had a flash on the camera. It was raining and could've spoiled the whole scenario and the pictures.

We booked Luminous Lagoon tour and Negril tour through Andrae. He was very knowledgeable and amazing to have conversations with. Andre drive us to Negril and was extremely safe and gave us a great price. He was very engaging and shared a lot of local perspective on life in the island, which makes one learn more about local life. We will definitely work with Andrae in the future !!

One of the best times with an amazing driver. Andre was on time, always helpful, and made our Vacation fantastic, we used him for multiple tours and he was happy to customize times and days as needed. He can arrange for private transfers, tours, and whatever else you might need on the island and at far better rates than Resorts will offer. We will use him again whenever we are in Jamaica!

Finding transportation to places of interest in Jamaica is a challenge. This company will provide transportation and the price is reasonable. Andre was professional and offered advice and provided transportation in an air conditioned, clean and comfortable van.
