Jack the Ripper Private Day Time Walking Tour

Description
This private walking tour will transport you back to the dark and chilling world of the Whitechapel Murders in East London. Follow in the footsteps of the notorious and never identified Jack the Ripper. During the autumn of 1888, Jack the Ripper murdered, at least, five women with several other horrendous killings before and afterwards that may or may not have been carried out at the hands of the man voted The Worst Briton of All Time. Explore the old streets of Whitechapel on this private 2.5 hour day-time tour (so you can actually see everything properly) and learn what life was like for the people who lived here. We've had everyone from school-children to corporate bankers on this tour as well those who just want to see a different side of London. With the seal of approval of homicide detectives from New York, London, Melbourne and many other places and even enjoyed by some of the team behind the BBC show 'Ripper Street'.

Itinerary
We will explore the streets of Whitechapel, Spitalfields and Aldgate and follow in the footsteps of Jack The Ripper as we visit the locations of his murders and those strongly linked with him.
Open for the first time in almost a decade, we will visit Durward Street and the murder location of Mary Ann Nichols
Where the first victim in the Whitechapel Murders died and where an investigation into a body part revealed terrible findings. Nearby we will see where the inquests into several of the murders took place. The Elephant Man also lived here during these years and 80 years later the streets were the home to the legendary gangsters, The Krays.
This still atmospheric street was the site where Elizabeth Stride met her end, the first in the infamous Double-Event night of murders.
As well as visiting this icon of the East-End, nearby we will visit the two locations where a chief suspect for Jack The Ripper lived.
We will follow in the footsteps of Martha Tabram down this eerie cobbled lane. Sadly Martha never made it to the end of the street, hopefully we will & round the corner we will see where Emma Smith was fatally attacked,
A key spot in last night of Mary Anne Nichols
This is where the tour begins and one of the pubs closely associated with Jack The Ripper
We will pass down the famous Brick Lane, once in the very heart of Jack The Ripper territory. Then as now with a bustling immigrant community,
The site of the murder of poor Annie Chapman and nearby we will learn of two more deaths that Jack The Ripper was indirectly responsible for.
One of the pubs most closely linked with Jack and his victims.
Dorset street itself isn't exactly here any more but we will visit the site of the murder of Mary Kelly and learn of its greater importance both in the Jack The Ripper killings and its wider legacy for police around the world.
Now a mouse but in 1888, Brick Lane Synagogue. One of many in the area then for the growing Jewish community of the East-End.
See the church that played a pivotal role in the lives of the people in 19th Century Whitechapel and learn of the terrible poverty that was all around.
We will pass through the very same market that was here in 1888 and right in the middle of some of the murder locations we will visit.
This famous old East-End Street was said to be the place where James Maybrick stayed in the infamous Diary of Jack The Ripper.
We will visit the spot of the only real evidence left by Jack The Ripper on the night of the Double-Event murders
Whitechapel was a very Jewish area and we will visit the first Jewish soup kitchen.
We will finish off just round the corner from our oldest Synagogue in Mitre Square, the only place where you can be certain you are standing exactly where Jack stood when he murdered
As if Jack The Ripper wasn't bad enough for the locals, if your legs don't mind a small diversion, we will also famous the Aldgate Pump of Death!

Kevin was extremely knowledgeable about all things London, but he was an absolute expert on Jack the Ripper. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Jack the Ripper. Try to get Kevin!
Great, entertaining and informative! I would recommend! We went on the Jack the Reippermtour and I really enjoyed myself!
It was lovely to meet you for the Jack The Ripper Tour. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a nice review. I'm glad you had fun!
This is the second time I’ve taken Stephen’s Jack the Ripper Walking tour. He is excellent, extremely knowledgable and engaging and entertaining. I would highly recommend.
I just wanted to say thankyou for booking me again and I am so glad to see you again after a few years. I hope you're well and everyone had a good Christmas. Thanks for a great review!
Did a private Jack the Ripper tour with Stephen. He’s an historian and author who gives you so much more than the Ripper story. His local history knowledge adds another dimension to the tour and made for a fantastic two hours. I know he does a load more walking tours in London and we’re signing up for more.
I really appreciate your fab review David. That was a lovely tour and it was really nice to meet you. Hopefully will see you in 2025!
Could not have enjoyed this more! Stephen is so knowledgeable and wonderful at imparting that knowledge. Very informative and interesting. Stephen is a lovely chap and we couldn’t recommend him and his tour more.
Thanks so much for your lovely review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. That was such a nice morning with perfect weather and a nice relaxed atmosphere See you again soon!
After looking at all the Jack the Ripper tours and the complaints about nighttime crowds, I searched for a daytime tour and found Stephen. I could not be more happy with my selection. Knowledgeable, personable, and full of information, Stephen went above and beyond to make sure I saw and learned everything about the Ripper, Whitechapel, and the history of East London. Can't recommend highly enough!
Hi there! I hope you're keeping well. Thanks so much for your lovely Jack The Ripper private day time tour review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the tour and got to enjoy the vibrant and creepy parts of Whitechapel in peace and quiet!
The stories, films and documentaries you see all come together on this fascinating, complete Tour, featuring the places, the facts and thoughts, the feel and experiences of the period. The people involved and the records and what they reveal. The walk was extensive but easy to do, with a nice tea break en route. Stephen has researched the subject and added humour and the ability to paint pictures of the era, and most importantly, put that across in a way that we enjoyed thoroughly Thank you
Thanks so much for the great review Martin. I hope you're both well. I always love showing people round the back streets of Whitechapel and unlike the other big groups, visit all the murder locations and much more besides. See you soon!
This is a 5* PLUS ! Rating !!! We have already made the second tour/excursion with Ye Olde England Tours (Stephan) and are totally thrilled. Stephan's guided tours are second to none. His tours are well researched, exciting, fun and at the same time casual and demanding. Stephan gets along wonderfully with all people (even unfriendly teenagers :-) knows the little and big secrets that are worth telling on a tour of London. He not only knows the facts, he also knows exactly where to get VERY delicious food and where the nearest toilet is;-) Even if you speak little English, the excursions are absolutely recommended. One understands :-) also with hands and feet..... @Stephan: Thank you for the wonderful time we spent together ! The next trip is already planned. This is a 5* PLUS! Rating !!! Danke schön! Thank-you very much for your kind review. It was wonderful to see you both again after several years. I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed Jack The Ripper and Whitechapel so much, very different from where we went in 2015! I can't wait to see you both again very soon :-)
Stephen was superb as a tour guide, friendly, funny and so knowledgeable, we had a private tour and he was so flexible with our requirements, adapting the start place and times to work around our needs. I would highly recommend.
