Istanbul: Luxury Dinner & Traditional Dance Bosphorus Cruise

First of all, we had trouble finding the boat because a different name was indicated on the Istanbul Tourist Pass website. Then we had a meal worthy of a cafeteria with unequal portions depending on the customers (my mother had half the size of my salmon portion, for example, and the same for the cakes at the end). Only 1 restroom for women even though there were nearly 300 of us on the boat, and the men were using it too because their restrooms were not working. We didn't have a choice of our table either, but the most serious thing was that we were under the speaker for the music with an extremely loud volume. The servers did not want to turn down the music and waited to see me crying to understand my suffering. Many of us were suffering from the volume because I saw people holding their ears to eat. The performances were decent, but sitting at our table we couldn't see anything and we couldn't all move to watch the show. The organization was awful, and the lack of consideration for the customers' needs, including a baby and a grandmother next to us who surely lost their hearing too, is unacceptable. I do not recommend the experience at all. Only positive point: the view of the city lit up with its beautiful buildings.

The view was exceptional and much appreciated but the price of the meal was too high for the menu presented. Price presented on the slate once we sat. Price too high for drinks too.

Excellent meal, perfect service and great entertainment. Picturesque views made the night one to remember.

Generally a Good Night, do not order the sparkling wine, it is very overpriced & costs even more if you pay by card. We also appeared to be the only couple who were asked for a tip by the waiting staff, I am generally happy to tip for service but this seemed a bit extreme, maybe a tip jar to be shared by all the staff would be fairer. The entertainment was good & the food tasty & plentiful, although the belly dancing dragged on a bit. The transfer was great fun though.

Very very bad food, I dinner with my wife, really I got surprised from the food quality and taste really very bad. Not recommended at all

Overall, a disappointment. The food was average, about what you might expect for the price. The entertainment had its good parts, but was a little long on the group participation part.

Everything was good but the food was okayish. Charlie was funny and created a good ambiance. The pick up and drop off service was impeccable. The only point of improvement is the food.

Beautiful evening with dinner on the Bosphorus cruise. Very efficient organization, all in all discreet dinner, small dance shows and local music. Finally the entertainment of the true butcher of the evening was the 80-year-old owner of the boat who kept everyone cheerful. It was great to share that experience with people from all over the world gathered in one event. RECOMMENDED

I had lots of reservation with some neg review. But, taking things as perspective this is a great value and experience. - Making reservation was simple and Mr. Turan Kaya was very responsive. - A person came to our hotel for prompt pick up. - Area has several different dinner cruise so it was very confusing, but we followed our driver to the boat and he handed us off to wait staff and we were seated promptly. - Table already had several MESA, bread and salad also water so once settled we were started off with various condiments to taste (This app in restaurant cost us 32 TL about $10) - Wait staff came around and asked for drinks. We had 3 non-alcohol and 3 alcohol option. Although, they were busy and we were seating near the end of the boat, we had our drinks served regularly. - Meal was served with option of fish, Lamb, Chicken. - Manager walks around the area to hand out bus/car number on cards so you can get home on right bus. - They had several shows. Yes they are not in Kenedy center or broadway, but it was entertaining and afterward, people danced. - I tip my server about 10% and as we had back, we were constantly getting our glasses filled. Overall, if you want to see night view of the river and have sample of turkish food this is a very good value and experience. Especially if you book directly with Orient House Bosphorus. It was a best value of all 9 days trip for me.
