The Burana Tower is an 11th-century minaret near Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, once part of the ancient Silk Road city Balasagun. Originally 45 meters tall, it now stands at 25 meters due to earthquake damage. In 2014, it was inscribed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang’an–Tianshan Corridor," recognizing its historical and cultural significance. The site also includes ancient mausoleums, balbals (stone grave markers), and city ruins.

Unforgettable day trip

Unforgettable 4-Day Kyrgyzstan Tour with the Best Guide Ever!
We just finished an incredible 4-day tour through Kyrgyzstan, and it wouldn’t have been the same without our guide, Farukh. From start to finish, he went above and beyond in every possible way.
Farukh was not only extremely knowledgeable about the country, its history, and culture, but also genuinely one of the kindest people we’ve ever met. He made us feel comfortable, safe, and welcomed at all times. Every detail was handled perfectly – from navigating remote mountain roads to recommending authentic local food spots and hidden gems we would’ve never discovered on our own.

Best day in Kyrgyzstan
We went on a day tour to Burana Tower and hiking in Konorchek Canyon. Farukh is an excellent guide with such positive energy; he made the trip an excellent one. I was happily surprised to see all the ancient statues and petroglyphs around Burana Tower. And the canyon hike was so much fun. Several obstacles made it more adventurous and of course the views are spectacular. Lunch was delicious too! What a great day!

Excellent ride with Faruk.
I visited the Burana Tower and the Konorchek Canyons. It was an excellent ride. Guide, Faruk is excellent.
Make sure you have good walking shoes to get to the Canyons.

An enjoyable day
Highly recomended tour. The guide (Faruk) is very helpful and commited towards making the tour a great experience. The canyon is a beautiful setting, well worth the hike. Burana Tower is more interesting for history buffs, but I don't regret going.

Konorchek Mountain
A very nice, exciting trip to the mountains. Faruk is a super guide who guided us safely and with expertise. Lunch was delicious and the view in the mountains incredible. I can highly recommend this tour!
