Description
PADI's Discover Scuba Diving program is the first step for millions of people every year to enter the underwater adventure of Scuba Diving. We look back to many years of experience leading beginners to Ameds outstanding underwater world. Taking people the first time underwater requires a lot of care and we do everything to make your first journey as safe and enjoyable as possible.
We focus on small groups! Nobody that does this for the first time wants to be put in a large group together with other people that he or she doesn't know. There is no time limit or rush in your training. Your instructor will not push or force you into something. Its all about the fun and about you feeling safe and secure.
Diving in Amed is especially for beginners and easy and wonderful thing, as you can see so much beauty in just a few meters underwater.

Beautiful discovery of diving
Perfect for a beginner who wants to discover diving, the explanations are clear and exercises are offered. Very good follow-up in the water throughout the dive. Well taken care of us between the 2 dives via a drink and a small snack. Interesting diving in terms of content, lots of fauna and flora. Speak only English.

Bonjour Julien et merci pour ce gentil commentaire au sujet de ton bapteme (2 plongées) avec nous. Oui nous prenons le temps d'expliquer les 4 exercices a faire en zone peu profonde (gonflage stab, purge détendeur, récupération détendeur et vidage de masque) mais aussi comment fonctionne la flotabilité, ce qui permet la plupart du temps a nos instructeurs de lacher au bout d'un petit moment les participants qui se débrouillent tout seul pour rester au fond et peuvent ainsi se sentir en apesanteur! ca permet aussi de descendre jusqu'a 12m en toute sécurité et d'observer des milliers de poissons, des coraux multi-colores et des tortues sur le deuxieme site (Lipah). Tout est inclus, hotel pick up et bien sur snack! Pierre notre instructeur francais avais deja des eleves open water lors de votre passage mais si si!! les baptemes et cours de plongee sont disponibles en francais a WSD! Allemand, espagnol, indonesien et anglais aussi. A bientot pour plus d'aventures sous-marine!

Unforgettable experience with Divers White Sand in Amed!
We had an unforgettable experience with Divers White Sand in Amed! We did two amazing dives and felt supported, safe, and truly looked after every step of the way.
A huge thank you to our guide Roda, who was absolutely fantastic – incredibly kind, professional, and full of contagious enthusiasm. He also took lots of amazing videos of our dives that we’ll treasure as special memories.
We’d also like to warmly thank Kadek, who kindly helped us download all the photos from the GoPro we rented – super helpful and patient!
A big shoutout to the entire team at Divers White Sand for their passion, friendliness, and great energy. We would dive with you again a thousand times over! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore the underwater wonders of Amed with truly skilled and welcoming people

Thanks for fundiving with us and for this kind comment. Our dive guides are all fluent in english, welcoming and they have 1000s of dives in Amed/Tulamben area. They all have a "safety first" mindset and the management regularly checks their skills and motivation like in any DIR (Doing It Right) center.
Diving in small groups of usually 2 max 3 fundivers and having the full choice of your dive sites make the experience greater ! Especially in our Amed/Tulamben area with such a variety of diving : reef, macro, wreck, wall, drift, cavern and Tec ! No deposit is requested for booking your fundives (on WA) and there is no fee in case of cancelation. For afternoon and night dive, no need to prebook the day before, just tell your dive guide after both morning fundives! Payment is done at the end : that way you only pay for the service that we provided.
Our PADI 5 ⭐Resort is now composed of 8 hotels : Ayunan Beach Villas Amed has just opened in January 2025 : VIP villas for 2 or 4 guests with private pool, right on a remote (almost) private beach, perfect for snorkelling with sea turtles in the afternoon ! All our dive instructors have been carefully selected : experienced, patient with flexible schedule if needed with students needing more time for some skills and speaking a fluent english. Perfect mastery of all skills is always achieved.

Great experience!
Great experience! I spent my PADI Open Water with Pierre, everything went perfectly. Pierre is passionate and a well of knowledge! Not only did he teach me everything I needed for the BDP, he took the time to explain the next steps recommended for my further diving career on numerous occasions. Not to mention its many recommendations for diving spots in Indonesia and elsewhere in the world!
As for the dives themselves between the corals and the visit of the Liberty wreck (!) it is hard to find fault.
In short, go with your eyes closed!

Fine diving school
We had a very good first diving experience here. The private instructor was patient and guided us excellently. Although we discovered that diving is not really our thing, we are very happy with this experience.

Great experience
My partner and I dove with Coco today. I have previous dive experience (very little!) and my last dive was 15 years ago! This was my partners’ first dive, although he is a snorkeler.
Coco was very patient and kind and took great care to explain everything to us. In the water, his eye was always on us and the fish, pointing out all the beautiful things the sea had to offer.
Unfortunately, after my first dive I got super nauseated….Coco gave some tea and place to sit, while he and my partner returned to the sea.
Would highly recommend this crew, they are experienced and attentive to safety and kind.
PS: loved the funny looking razor fish!

Great discovery with a great team!
Thank you for the welcome and great advice! The initiation was on top with well chosen spots. We feasted all morning with 2 dives of 1 hour! It's really worth it!!!

Very nice experience...
We wanted to do a diving baptism in Bali, and we fell well.
Our instructor was Pierre, he was super friendly, he put us in confidence and explained everything with patience and kindness.
Like I had an ear problem (no luck for me, I am fragile of the ears). We came home early. But they lent us snorkeling equipment and dropped us off at a very good observation spot.
In short we had a great time!!!
And above all it is worth it because it is not expensive with a real course and a real initiation.
We're thrilled with our morning.

Great welcome from the team, small group outing with 3 instructors for 6 divers.
They made us dive outside amed to take us to the scourge of liberty. An unforgettable experience for our first dive!
