Great tour. Would highly recommend. Catherine our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. Was nice to learn and feel more connected to a place I visit so often. Lovely way to spend a morning

Authentic experience!
Interesting tour in The Liberties with Catherine who is full of anecdotes about the area and the locals. We enjoyed it and we were blessed by the weather on that day!

We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our guide Catharine was extremely knowledgeable, and taught us the history of the area while also helping us understand the culture of the neighborhood. We would highly recommend this tour!

Lighting Up the Liberties
Catherine, our guide, gave us passionate, detailed and vivid accounts of the social history of the Liberties neighbourhood of Dublin. She brought to life many of the larger than life characters like Bang Bang and Darkey Kelly, the more shocking events telling all the stories with a compassionate voice and one steeped in a deep commitment to social justice and left us wanting to continue with our own research.
