Ice Exploration Tour from the Glacier Lagoon

We had such a wonderful time on the glacier, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Marita (I really hope I am spelling your name correctly!). There were only five of us in the group, which made the whole experience feel very personal. Marita paid attention to every single one of us, not just making sure we were safe, but making sure we were actually enjoying the glacier. One little moment really stayed with me. She cared more about whether I was seeing the glacier clearly with my own eyes rather than through my camera. That says a lot about the kind of guide she is. She wanted us to truly experience the place, not just take photos of it. She was also incredibly patient and took such good care of my parents, especially my mother, who unfortunately fell twice on our way down. Marita was attentive, reassuring, and never made us feel rushed. This is exactly why I would highly recommend choosing a small-group glacier hike. That personal attention and human connection simply cannot be replaced by being one of many people in a big group. Thank you, Marita, for taking such good care of us and for making our glacier adventure something we will genuinely remember. ❤️

Everything gone as expected and the guide made always efforts (Guillermo) to show all important aspects with professional explanations and taking really the time to show us different important spots of the visited glacier. He put also an important accent on safety, what I appreciated. The time just flew very fast, I keep a good memory and I recommend to all individual interested on glaciers and nature to take part of this experience.

Wonderful experience, different from everything we had done before, we even saw a beautiful cave. We loved our guide Guillermo, he explained many things to us and was attentive to us at all times, I would do it again without a doubt, let's see if the next one is in winter. We had an amazing experience on this glacier tour! Our guides were knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel safe the entire time. Climbing the glacier was much more challenging than we expected, but it was absolutely worth it. The views were breathtaking, and standing on the glacier was something we’ll never forget. The equipment was excellent, and the guides explained everything clearly before we started. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

It was a wonderfully exciting trip! The views were magnificent! The air so clean. Our guide Guerrmo was attentive, concerned for our safety, responded well to numerous questions. The trip helped us understand how small we are in this big beautiful world.

Had an amazing guide - super knowledgeable about the history and current state of the glacier. Talkative, kind, helpful, assuring, understanding! We got to do some find things on the Glacier like how to walk down or walk up into a section of a glacier. While I was nervous, the guide always gave me options. She would be the reason I’d take the hike again. We had a lot of fun and talked about multiple topics within Iceland and outside of Iceland. Notes: 1) They meet up behind the food buildings. There’s a sign. 2) Layer up, I wore thick, thermal leggings only because it was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky, hiking boots, long sleeve base layer, a fleece vest, waterproof GLOVES, fleece headband, and a windproof jacket. Eventually, it does get cold and I’m someone who tends to run warm.
