We really enjoyed the drive through beautiful pine forests, along lovely little bays, with majestic panoramic views. Our driver, Yiannis, took us to a small harbor opposite Hydra, where we were picked up by a lovely water taxi. We had a wonderful trip. Yiannis, our guide, picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb, so that was super convenient. The drive was long, but pleasant. We had plenty of time at the canal. Yiannis drove us right onto the dock to catch the water taxi. That boat ride was fast. Yiannis gave us recommendations on what to see and where to eat, but we just enjoyed strolling along the water front, and we picked a place to eat arbitrarily. The same water taxi guy met us and Yiannis met us at the dock. Another long, but pleasant, car ride and we were back at the Airbnb. Absolutely worth it for a short island experience.

The driver was very nice and attentive, but the ride left much to be desired. Many hours of travel for short time in Hydra. A very young driver with little knowledge. He did not talk about the island or the canal during the journey, which could add value. Clean car, but uncomfortable. And the scheduled time in Hidra (3,5 hours, as described by the tour) was reduced to 2 hours. I do not recommend.

Thodoris was wonderful! He went above and beyond to make our trip to Hydra special. He gave us a great history of Athens as we drove, delivered us to the ferry, and scooped us up when we returned.
