Ramy our Habibi - very nice experience

The Journey with Ramy was so much fun. He as a Person but also as a tour guide was an Experience 10 out of ten. He connected his knowledge with funny stuff, which made the listing so much easier and funnier. He also helped us getting some medicine from the pharmacy because some of us didnt feel well. He talked with the pharmacist and explained us everything and had an eye on us. He has been a very helpful, nice, smart and a respectful Person. Would book it ever again!!! THANK YOUUU

Hurgarda to Cairo

We had a good experience overall with FTS Travel, and especially with our guide, Ahmed Hassan. Our pickup was right on time, and Ahmed was extremely friendly, spoke excellent English, and was very knowledgeable. He gave us a great tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, making the experience enjoyable and informative. However, the day itself was much longer and more tiring than we expected. Because there were several different groups on the bus doing different activities, we spent a lot of time travelling off route, dropping people off, then going back to collect them later. This made the journey very slow, and we didn’t arrive back in Hurghada until almost 1am — around 25 hours after we had originally been picked up. Ahmed was great throughout and genuinely seemed to do his best to keep everything running smoothly, so this isn’t a criticism of him personally. The main issue was the organisation of the different groups and their itineraries, which resulted in a lot of unnecessary travelling and waiting. My two children are both poorly today, and unfortunately the extremely long day and constant travelling around left them completely exhausted. Overall, Ahmed was an excellent guide and we would definitely recommend him. We just feel the tour would be much better if the groups were organised into more compatible itineraries, avoiding unnecessary detours and long periods spent collecting and dropping off other groups.

An unparalleled experience.

A unique and wonderful experience. The transfer was comfortable and easy. The guide who accompanied us, GAMAL, was fantastic: knowledgeable, never predictable, precise and fun, very interesting and pleasant, he helped make this experience unparalleled and very exciting. We highly recommend it even to those who have 9 children

Very bad experience

Our driver stopped to have a wee at the back of the bus which was pretty disgusting. We was told pick up was at 1:30 via message and then they showed up at 1am so we were not ready and they were quite aggressive on the phone call to our hotel room telling us to “come down now” which already set the mood for the trip. After that the itinerary said we have free time shopping however it was only their friends shops and we have noticed this with a lot of other trips you aren’t allowed to go into the shops you want they want you to buy thing off of their friends so they make money which I though was unfair. On this trip specifically we was taken to a perfume shop where perfume was just consistently put on us if felt so overwhelming and even then we went to the papyrus shop and what was supposed to be a learning experience turned into being haggled by the people that where trying to get us to buy something. We didn’t book the grand pyramid museum which the guide made us feel bad for and when the others paid for entrance into the small pyramid the tour guide put the money In his own wallet. I tried working out the conversion rate for the people we made friends with and the tour guide said “are you going to the small pyramids? No. So leave it alone” which just felt rude. Also at the end when doing the review at the end the tour guide also did that for us and watched us so it kind of felt like we couldn’t be honest. During the stops there was no communication of how long we would be there, how long we had. It also said on the booking we had that drinks for the ride but we wasn’t allowed to take our included drinks into the restaurant which was just water by the way so that just felt very scammy because then we had to pay extra. In the restaurant the waiter tried to add on money to everyone’s total which I can understand if it’s a mistake but to do it to the whole group individual is crazy. At the beginning of our pick up we was in the car for 20 mins and then there was a rest stop for an hour which didn’t seem right and we was sat there for so long while the drivers had a smoke and chatted o understand they need a break but we was left in the boiling van with no info as to what was going on. So overall it wasn’t a very good experience

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that several aspects of your experience did not meet the standards we aim to provide. Regarding the pickup time, we understand your frustration. Pickup times can sometimes be adjusted according to the hotel location and operational requirements, but we agree that any change should be communicated clearly and respectfully, and we apologize if this was not handled appropriately. We also take your comments regarding the shopping stops, guide communication, entrance fees, restaurant billing, and the review process very seriously. Our tours may include visits to local establishments as part of the itinerary, but guests should never feel pressured to purchase anything, and any optional expenses should always be clearly explained. Likewise, our guides are expected to provide accurate information, maintain professional behavior, and give guests sufficient time and freedom during stops. We are particularly concerned about your comments regarding the additional charges and the handling of entrance fees. These matters will be reviewed with our operations team and the guide involved so we can establish exactly what happened. We are sorry that the experience left you feeling uncomfortable rather than allowing you to enjoy your first visit to Cairo. Your feedback has been shared with our team and will be used to review the service and address any shortcomings. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention.
