Huatulco Oceanside Food and Drinks

We went on our food tour and mezcal tasting with Mary Rose last night, and it was truly an incredible experience. She is an absolute sweetheart, knowledgeable, and kind. She took us to some amazing restaurants that we never would have discovered on our own (and that’s saying a lot, because I’m an avid Yelp user!). These spots were well off the beaten path and were genuine hidden gems. Our only regret is not doing this tour earlier in our trip because we only have one full day left in Oaxaca, and now I want to go back and revisit every single place she took us to. Beyond the outstanding food and mezcal, we also learned so much about the local culture and history. It felt less like a tour and more like spending an evening with a friend who was excited to share the very best of Oaxaca with us. She delivered it perfectly. If we had more time left here, we would absolutely book some of her other tours as well, including her taco tour and mud bath experience. We can’t recommend her enough and will definitely be sending friends and family her way when they visit Oaxaca.
