Huacachina: Buggy experience, dunes, and sunset in the desert
Description
Hop into a dune buggy and experience the adrenaline rush of the incredible Huacachina dunes. The tour lasts two hours, starting at 4:00 PM as sunset approaches. We’ll buckle up—this is a safe and reliable experience. You will go sandboarding lying down on various dunes (a safe method for all travelers), and your guide will be with you throughout the entire activity. The sunsets here are unique; bring a camera, as your photos will capture the memories of your experience. Please come prepared with lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and sunglasses (optional). During public holidays and Holy Week, the experience is shortened to one hour due to high traveler demand. This applies to dates in late March, July, and the end of the year. In the summer (January, February, March), we start at 4:30 PM; since the sun sets later during this season, we adjust the schedule to ensure you can enjoy the sunset—this does not affect the total duration of the experience. Itinerary
This is our meeting point; you can use the restrooms and get ready to start the experience. We need to be here by 4:00 PM, though we recommend that all travelers arrive 5 minutes early. During the summer months (January, February, and March) only, the sun sets much later; therefore, we shift the start time to 4:30 PM to make the most of the experience. We still recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure punctuality. You can also use this time to purchase protective gear for the experience (this is optional). Afterward, we will head to the dunes and pass through the entrance and fee collection point; the cost is S/8.10 per person, payable in cash only.
This experience lasts two hours. We begin by climbing a small dune to board the buggies. We get ready by fastening our seatbelts and snapping a few photos. Your guide will also be your driver and will be at your service throughout the experience. We will ride this natural roller coaster, a journey packed with pure adrenaline. We will go sandboarding—lying down—in a safe and fun way, taking multiple runs; the guide will show you exactly how it's done. This experience is truly special thanks to the sunsets in Huacachina, which are unique and magnificent. We will have time to relax and enjoy the sunset. Be sure to take incredible photos; your pictures will serve as a record of one of the best experiences in Peru.

Buggy in the dunes: great - provide a scarf in front of the mouth to avoid sand on the face. Avoid the cap, it flies away. 4 sunboard runs flat on your stomach: great and safe: you balance and brake with your feet. To finish on top of a dune watching the setting sun: very beautiful

We had a blast! My wife, son, daughter and I all had much more fun than we had anticipated. The dune buggy is a magic roller coaster and we were able to do multiple runs on the sand board. We had a lovely sunset and then one last exhilarating ride back. You should do this.

Great for family adventure...Just little hike up the Dunes..after that super easy and fun. My 4 year old and 6 year old loved it. Especially the sand boarding

It was exactly as described. Lots of photo stops, sand boarding, sand dune buggy riding, and an amazing sunset. I will say it was a bit more intense with the buggy riding then I expected but my husband loved it.

MUST DO EXPERIENCE!!!! Would definitely recommend doing this tour. The driver was great and he made sure we all had a great time.

I took this tour from Paracas (with return bus trip) and highly recommend this. Much better than the very long day trip from Lima. The dune buggy ride was thrilling. The view from the sunset on the dunes was spectacular.

Very nice but the buggy broke down after 15 min of walking. No offer of refund or do it again the next day
