Beautiful place, we enjoyed it a lot. One of the activities that we liked the most in La Fortuna, mainly because every day we were there, it was raining.
We booked our visit for 5 pm and opted to include dinner. The springs were clean, nice and not too crowded. Clean changing rooms. Towels and lockers provided. Skip the dinner. Bland cafeteria food.
Can only give this 2 stars as I got TERRIBLE FOOD POISONING from their Beef Stew at the buffet. BE VERY CAREFUL with what you eat there. They have a lot of food options but the beef was very chewy and completely ruined the last day of our Honeymoon. Other than that the hot springs were very relaxing.
A very beautiful place, excellent facilities, and the details and thermal water pools are spectacular; although there are more economical options, you must bring a good budget for this place.

Fantastic evening enjoying lovely volcanic spring fed pools of varying temperatures in lovely rainforest setting before drying off and heading to the delicious buffet dinner. Clean and relaxing in a lovely tropical rainforest setting. Lots of staff on hand to order drinks. Towels provided, lots of lockers, changing rooms and showers. Great evening of relaxation!
Beautiful experience. The pools were spectacular. The higher you went the hotter the pools. There were waterfalls You could stand behind and the crowds were minimal. Cocktails/mocktails were served poolside. And once done soaking they served a meal buffet style but so many choices of local dishes. It was relaxing, healing, spiritual and pure Pura Vida.
We had a very relaxing and lovely time. This is a great activity to do in La Fortuna if it is raining. Each different pool has a small sign with temperature. A nice mix of going between the hot and cool pools is advisable. Very peaceful mini-waterfalls. It isn’t an enormous site but that equally felt quite nice as wasn’t too busy. If you spend the whole day, or nearly the whole of the ticket time (10-4pm), the value is really good. But it really doesn’t feel budget at all, though I think it is one of the cheaper hot springs. We went from 10:30-2pm and it was still great. I don’t think spending more money (ie other places $112 tickets would really offer that much better an experience, so I highly recommend Ecothermales. There are good showers and changing rooms. There are lockers, towels, umbrellas provided. It is brilliant!
Beautiful place ! 6 hours, starting at 10am or 11am. You have the lunch option. What a pleasure to stay in hot water with. Fresh tropical rain, great experience ! Water temp is between 40 to 27C
