The tour covers the historical points of the city very well. There are a lot of interesting places to see and learn about. Being able to hop on and hop off the bus is great.
It was a great tour and the tour guides were very knowledgeable of the Philadelphia area. I only wish that the bus would slow down when it passed something interesting so we can take pictures. I missed a few interesting sites
It's nice to see all the history in Philadelphia & to take your time seeing them. Employees are polite, funny & seem to know the history of their city very well.
It’s a great way to see the downtown area. Going during the week is the best time. I enjoyed the bus
We were told that the bus was air-conditioned. However, it wasn’t and they never opened up any windows. Plus, they just dumped us off many blocks away from where we were supposed to be dropped off, which we understood, because of the parade. I’m not sure whether I would ever do a hop on hop off in Philadelphia again. Plus, they did not do any instructions on how to get back to where we started. They just told us to get out of bus. I also should mention the bus driver was very angered by some people in vehicles and everybody that was on the first floor of the bus saw it and nobody gave them any tips.
Hop On Hop Off’s are always the best way to see a city that you have never been to. Our tour guide was good, but we didn’t care for his take on tipping. “Every little bit helps me get Through the winter months when these tours don’t run.”
Great guide. I forgot his name. He used to work for Drexel university. He was clear and knowledgeable. Wonderful that it was a person not the normal headphones offered on these type of bus tours. Great route after a morning walking tour. Busses came on time and I liked the fact that you requested a stop if you wanted to get off rather than the bus stopping when it wasn’t needed.
We received the ticket as Hop On Hop Off, but Philly has two travel companies with the same stops but different numbers, very confusing. Tickets emailed to me by TripAdvisor could not be validated by the driver, it had to be done at the Marriott hotel stop. We waited at the wrong stop for an hour, had to walk 4 blocks to the Marriott for ticket validation learned we bought seats on the Big Bus Company. Waited in line for 1/2 hour, the unlucky people at the end of the line couldn't get on because all the seats were taken. We sat inside the bus at street level and the bus was filthy, faint urine smell. We could barely see out the windows because of a tinted screen film on them. The microphone speaker was scratchy and the narrator kept saying "GUYS" like he was trying to wake us up. We were not dropped off where we started, were told we hadHop On?? to wait for another bus. We ended up walking 8 blocks back to our hotel. It was all a big waste of money and time.
Tour route was great, tour guides were amazing - can’t remember their names, but they were friendly, professional, super knowledgeable and made the whole tour
Very interesting and informative . Easy to navigate. Our narrator was a very amusing lady and very friendly. She also helped me find my way back to my hotel
