Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park is the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa. This 96000 hectare Park is home to the African Big 5, Wild Dogs, Cheetah and much more. Historically this is also the Park that single-handedly saved the Rhinos from near extinction in the '60s when less than 100 Rhinos roamed the planet. King Shaka also made use of the southern section (Umfolozi) as his personal hunting grounds in days gone by. This park not only offers the most magical sights and sounds but some fascinating historical facts. All of our rangers have numerous years of experience in their respective fields and will undoubtedly ensure that you have a marvelous day out on your Full-Day Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park Safari.

Itinerary
Your game ranger for the day will pick you up at your accommodation at 05:00 am in St Lucia. You will then be transferred to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, Nyalazi Gate (the southern section of the Park). All clients meeting us at the Nyalazi Gate please if you would be their by 06:00 am. Once everyone is onboard your ranger will offer you an introduction to the Park, let you know regarding the area or destination for the day and you are off on a magnificent day's wildlife safari. The Park is home to the African Big 5, Cheetah, Wild Dogs and much more. Sit back and enjoy as the Bush comes alive. Early morning departures are more productive as this is when the predators are more active enhancing your chances of seeing them. The full-day Big 5 safari includes Breakfast, Bush Lunch, and Refreshments.

Zama, our local ranger, was a Super cute guide! Did super his best ism other guides to find the animals. Passed extra for the giraffes. We saw a lot of giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, inshalas, elephants, crocodiles and some super cool was rhinos up close. Breakfast, coffee, tea, drinks, and the braai was very well arranged. Pick up point and reservation was very easily arranged.
We had a great day with Zama as our guide! A super sweet man and he was a good cook. Enjoyed a steak and sausage! Seen a lot of animals. He took his time with each animal so we could take nice pictures and videos. Zama thank you!
We spend a wonderdul day ! We had chance to see plenty animals and everything was made perfect thanks to our guide Zama. This was a rich safari experience but also a rich human experience. PS: we really appreciated the breakfast and braai. Jean.
What a wonderful full day safari with our guide Jabu. Flawless pickup at our accommodation, clear rules (talk less, see more) and a lot of info on all our sightings. The breakfast and lunch in the park were prepared very well! And when there’s a cheetah just close by, breakfast waits and Jabu steers the safari jeep towards the place. We saw a lot, the tour felt very private and it was a great experience!

Our guide Zama looked after us for 10 hours in a good mood, committed, and very knowledgeable. The tour was interesting, exciting, and entertaining, and we were able to see a lot of animals (zebras, rhinos, impalas, nyalas, waterbucks, baby crocodile, baby chameleon, warthogs, wildebeests, buffalo, various birds). The park is scenically beautiful and rich in wildlife. Thanks to Zama's foresight, we were able to watch some elephants cross the path right in front of us; we also saw zebras and rhinos up close! We were thrilled and would love to do the tour again tomorrow if we could. Big praise and many thanks again to Zama.
