Meeting point, tour start Clock Tower At this point the tour begins, your accredited guide will make a short presentation and introduction of all the points to travel starting with this one.
Square of the cars This is one of the emblematic squares of the historic center where we will find the portal of sweets and the monument of Don Pedro de Heredia founder of the city.
Customs Square This is the largest square in the City in it is located the Mayor's Office, the mansion where the Founder of Cartagena lived and we find the monument in tribute to Cristobal Colon who discovered America.
We will find the church that bears the same name, this emblematic square of character because there we will find many commercial premises, restaurants, jewelry stores and sales of crafts. Your accredited guide will show you the avant-garde works that adorn the square.
Your guide will take you to the portal of the queens in this place you can appreciate photos of all the queens that has had Colombia since 1934 planted in the ground.
Continuing with the tour you will arrive at Bolivar Park, it is an urban park and a magnificent resting point with vegetation where you breathe peace being one of the most emblematic squares of the city as it reflects magic, history and culture within it is the monument of Simon Bolivar and the statue of our Nobel Literature Gabriel Garcia Marquez and right in front of the museum of history inquisition.
Being one of the most cheerful and popular squares in the historic center in it we will find bars, restaurant jewelry stores among other shops. You can admire the artwork of the master Fernando Botero "Gertrude".

Another architectural gem of the historic center in it is the Governorate and the statue of Pope John Paul II.
We will continue the tour with our guide along Roma street one of the busiest in the historic center filled with colorful Colonial houses characterized by their high balconies and beautiful facades.
We'll arrive at a French-style park with an Obelisk. In this park you will have the pleasure of observing the biodiversity of our fauna inhabited by animals such as the monkey Titi, the sloth bear and quantities of birds typical of the Colombian Caribbean coast.
Arriving in one of the most emblematic streets of the Gethsemane Quarter, its main attraction will be to see the benderines hanging with the countries of the world surrounded by graffiti and urban art displayed magic, life and a lot of charm. You will have the privilege of taking beautiful photos with their murals and facades.
Your accredited guide will take you to the heart of the Gethsemane district, a square full of life and charm. It is the epicenter of nightlife here gather natives and tourists to enjoy selling fast food full of aroma and flavor.
Wide alley and narrow alley Continuing with the tour we arrive at one of the blocks with the highest life of the Gethsemane neighborhood will observe the popular life of the native people of Carthagena with rich history, neighborhood life and valuable architectural legacy.
At the end of our walk in this square your accredited guide will give you instructions and recommendations to completely finish the tour.

I took a 2 hour walking tour with Alvarto... it really felt like hanging out, but informative. I really enjoyed being able to engage with local folks along the tour, while learning the history of Cartegena. This as good value for the money... truly enjoyed. It's hot... of course it's Cartegena, but with the breeze the Wali is still manageable. It's currently the off- season so not as many people as in busier times. This tour was cool solo but groups may make it richer because there's more questions from different perspectives. But solo, it felt more personal.
