Historical Delphi One Day Tour with Arachova Stop & Expert Guide

The Delphi site is something that has to be experienced in person. It is awesome to walk the path to the temple of Apollo and imagine people walking the same path 2500 years ago and asking some of the same questions that are relevant today. What made this trip special and intellectually rewarding was our guide Marianna Tsigaridou who was knowledgeable and informative. At all stages of the trip she provided historical information as well as connections between Ancient Greece, their customs, and their language with our present day. She has a knowledge base of Delphi and Greece. It has stimulated a desire to know more.

An absolutely wonderful day exploring Delphi! 🇬🇷 From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organised, with a smooth start and excellent timing throughout the day. Our guide, Marina, was fantastic; incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and well organised, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. Her explanations and insights really helped bring the history and mythology of Delphi to life, adding so much more depth to what we were seeing. The entire day was well paced, allowing us to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. A fantastic tour from start to finish and a wonderful way to experience one of Greece's most historically significant sites. A huge thank you to Marina for making the day so memorable. Excellent experience, I really was captivated by the views and the remains of the temple of Apollo. Our guide Marianna wes wonderful and gave us a brilliant tour of the ruins and the museum.

Yota was an incredible guide! All was fantastic and the timing was perfect. The Delphi spot is absolutely stunning and is one of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve made. Can’t recommend this enough♥️♥️♥️

This was an enjoyable 2-day trip and I would recommend it. The pick-up location required an Uber ride to the New Hotel even though our Hotel was listed as an included stop. When we tried to choose the Divani Acropolis, it was "grayed-out" and became unavailable as a pick up spot. Our guides were fantastic, engaging and answered all questions. The hotel in Kalambaka (location of the hotels) was very nice and breakfast and dinner had very good food selections with plenty of variety. We did not have enough time in Delphi to go to the amphitheater which was frustrating for some in our group. It was fine with me as it was a very hot day and would have been a decent climb in the sun. Our guide did a good job of choosing shady locations to give her talks. Meteora is a must see. Beautiful and very interesting. Read the fine print. Lunches are not included. The lunch spots were on the expensive side even though the food was good. Definitely geared toward tourists. The one on the return had quite a long line for the buffet. Also, expect to pay the hotel tax. It's on us that was didn't read that that wasn't included.

Excellent tour from our guide Marianna. On there was plenty of commentary on the journey to Delphi from Athens, making the 2 hour journey entertaining and short. Seeing the archeological site was well paced and insightful. The museum was also informative, but the tour only included the main artifacts, so you won't have enough time to see its entirety. Overall, great value for money and well worth the trip.
