The moat around castle has some of the most captivating photo opportunities and the inside of the castle grounds looks like a 1600's Japanese fortress. Hiroshima's largest temple is located here and a few trees that survived the atomic bomb.

american guide so English no issue we had a private tour so could ask any questions we wanted and spend time as we wanted unfortunately ebike city system was down first half of tour so walked - but then got them rolling and were very pleased that we got away from the crowds and up to the mountains where we could visit temples/shrines in virtual solitude -
After judging through so many identical, Buddhist temples, this was a delightful change of pace. The bicycles were fun and easy to use, the vehicle for viewing the peace park and for traveling to the castle and then a few kilometers up to the most idyllic setting in the mountains with waterfalls and interesting statues. Our guide spoke English perfectly well. He was just right, not too talkative not too quiet and very charming. He showed us the most important sites pertaining to the the nuclear bomb destruction, some of which were very inspiring, the Phoenix trees in the place where a man survived the bombing miraculously. He bikes are the best way to see get Oshima, especially in the heat of the summer.
Great tour, informative and fun getting around on the bikes. It rained all day so super impressed Joshua was still happy to go ahead, despite giving us the option to change to a walking tour.

We travelled around the city centre but also out to Mitakiyama temple. It is always good to go beyond the city area. There was only 5 of us including the guide so we could hear everything that was said. Better thsn a bus load of 30+ tourists
Joshua was a great guide, so easy to get around Hiroshima with an E-bike tour especially when its hot season, you can save your energy by using bikes. He was very good guide.
This tour is a highlight of our family holiday! Joshua was very knowledgeable & shared information & stories about the local area. The timing of the tour meant we beat the tour bus crowds at popular locations, which allowed time for peaceful reflection. The uphill venture to Matiko Temple & the waterfalls was amazing & definitely something we would have missed out on if not for this tour & Joshua’s guidance. Highly recommend!!

We had a great bike tour with Joshua, who was full of information and took us to all the famous spots and also a beautiful Buddhist temple in a beautiful quiet, tranquil location only a 15 min ride out of Hiroshima. It was a beautiful day and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
