We had a great day with Captain Grant Saltzer on our trip to shark took island! We found 178 shark teeth! Lots of wildlife too. Dolphins, birds and even a Bald Eagle! Beautiful day on the water and our Captain was so great!
What a fantastic experience! Thank you for sharing about your fabulous trip with captain Grant!
Excellent experience. Great host. Definitely recommend. Seeing all the dolphins was an added bonus. Will do again.
Thank you for the great review! We're so glad you had an excellent experience and enjoyed seeing the dolphins. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back again!
We cruised out at 6:00 and caught a beautiful sunrise, and saw dolphins both on our way to the island and on the way back to the marina. We saw so much wildlife on the island and the hour they give to explore is just about the perfect amount of time. Captain Dan and his first mate CT were funny and friendly and definitely added the experience. We loved this tour, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Hilton Head. (We actually did it on a visit in 2022, and loved it so much we did it again!)
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so happy you enjoyed the tour again and got to take in a beautiful sunrise, spot dolphins, and explore the island. It’s great to hear that the crew helped make the experience even more memorable. We truly appreciate the recommendation and love that you came back for round two!
This was a wonderful experience. Captain Dan and Patrick with first mate Champ (retriever) made this day one to remember. We so enjoyed walking the sand bar finding star fish - hermit crabs!!! I’d recommend this tour to anyone - especially if you have kids.
Thank you for the fantastic review! We're so glad you had a memorable day with Captain Dan, Patrick, and Champ. Exploring the sandbar and finding starfish and hermit crabs sounds like such a fun experience. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again soon!
The 3-hour private beach-combing tour for us 4 friends was absolutely outstanding! Captain Kelly was personable and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the opportunity to explore the shoals because of a negative tide. The boat was clean and comfortable. 3-hours flew by as we enjoyed the sun, the breeze, and the dolphins!!
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you and your friends had an outstanding time on the private beachcombing tour with Captain Kelly. Exploring the shoals during a negative tide must have been a unique experience, and it's great to hear that the ride was both comfortable and filled with amazing sights—including dolphins! We hope to see you again for another adventure on the water!
My husband, college-age daughter and I took the 3:30pm boat with Captain Sebastian to Daufuskie Island for Beachcombing. It was a wonderful experience! Our captain was knowledge about all the nature we encountered and answered our questions thoroughly. The beach on Daufuskie was peaceful and we were the only ones there that time of day. We were lucky enough to encounter countless dolphins and enjoyed the sunset ride back to Hilton Head. There were bottles of water on ice for our use and we felt cared for. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that Captain Sebastian made your trip to Daufuskie memorable and that you enjoyed the peaceful beach, dolphins, and beautiful sunset. It's great to know you felt well taken care of on board. We hope to see you again for another adventure!

A family of three plus a guest visiting Hilton Head for the first time, we took the Beachcomber Cruise. Our captain, Dean, was terrific! While the dolphins weren't quite as accommodating as we've seen on prior Outside Hilton Head cruises, Dean was careful to focus and point out the dolphins that we did see. He described an older dolphin he saw from time to time who actually appeared and looked up at us on the boat before disappearing under the water. Dean is extremely knowledge about history of the area as well as about the local environmental ecosystems. We learned about spartina grass that grows in coastal areas and about the benefits of oysters. He pointed out pelicans diving for lunch and told us how to identify which pelicans had gotten food and which had not. We learned a tremendous amount of history… We heard the legend of Maggie and the Haig Point Lighthouse, the history of the Gullah people (and shared a conversation about author, Pat Conroy), "scrap iron" (moonshine), the development of indigo and how it was traded with Europe, the history of the Yamasee War and Battle of Bloody Point. (And yes, we learned even more from Dean!) He took the boat ashore at Bloody point, and the two young women in our group found blue crabs, shells, and hermit crabs. This was fun and extremely.educational! We highly recommended it and would also recommend you ask for Captain Dean.
