Description
Make the most of your shore visit with our half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. Enjoy hands-on artifacts, fresh fruit, and stories about the places we visit. We'll start with Rainbow Falls and a drive through Liliʻuokalani Gardens in Hilo. Next, journey through Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kīlauea. You'll travel from the visitor center to Kīlauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, and walk inside iconic Nāhuku (Thurston Lava Tube). For lunch, enjoy an island-inspired meal on us at a local restaurant. Afterward, we'll drive past sweeping lava fields and coffee and macadamia nut farms on our way to Punaluʻu Beach Park—a renowned black sand beach where sea turtles come to rest. Please Note: We offer pick-up & drop-off in the Hilo area only. This tour is not wheelchair accessible and includes moderate walking and climbing (about 15 stairs during the lava tube tour).

Lili'uokalani Gardens
Drive through Banyan Drive and the largest Edo-style ornamental garden outside of Japan. Liliʻuokalani Gardens is a peaceful park of towering banyan trees, ponds, bridges, and pagodas.
Hilo
See the vibrant shops, public art, and colorful architecture of historic Downtown Hilo.
Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is named after the colorful rainbows that appear in the mists of its waters. Signs in the viewing area relate some interesting historical facts about the waterfall, as well as the legend of the “Battle of the Wailuku River”.
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park starting at the visitor center and exhibit hall, followed by views of Kilauea caldera and Kilauea Iki, the steam vents, and sulfur banks. Walk inside the ancient Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube) followed by lunch at Kilauea Lodge.
Punalu'u Black Sand Beach
Discover a beautiful black sand beach on the Kaʻū coast. This renowned local beach is often visited by green sea turtles.

Unbelievable experience worth every penny!!
Outstanding tour. Anthony and Desmond went out of their way to get us to see the active volcano, the lava tube, the black sand beach and rainbow falls. They even paid for our lunch for our family of 8 at Lava Rock restaurant . Anthony had a iPad and projected photos of everything he spoke to us about on a large screen in front that was easy to see from the back of this van that held twelve. They took photos for us, gave us jars of honey , chocolate macadamia nut snacks and a photo calendar . These guys are GREAT! I left my sweater and they called me and brought it back to the port..if you can request this team definitely do this!! You will not regret it!!

Guides were awesome!
Tour guides were awesome! Very knowledgeable and seemed to care that we had a good time. The only negative feedback I have is that the vents in the back of the van did not seem to work and it was very hot. They did what they could but it seems like that van needs to have its AC serviced.

Start to finish, they...
Start to finish, they thought of everything. So fun and we learned a lot! Missed the eruption by two days, but Mother Nature is on her own schedule.

We have been touring with other tours in a lot of different places, and this is by far the best experience we have ever had We were never rushed. Always pleasant, made it all about us and the other passengers. Anthony and Desmond’s attention to detail and customer service they provide is beyond expectations. So glad we found them!
