Torres del Paine National Park
An excursion that unites two of the three accesses that Torres del Paine National Park has, making it possible to visit a not well known and very attractive perspective for wildlife observation. Its landscape environment is undoubtedly a worthy place to visit. At the moment of entering the park through the Lago Sarmiento gate, we will begin our path with a gentle slope with a side view of the imposing Lake Sarmiento adjoining private lands, the usual hunting area for the region's largest predator, the Puma, specie that finds in the Torres del Paine its main source of food, the Guanaco. After an hour walking, we will reach an eaves where it is possible to observe a series of cave paintings with a date that exceeds 6,000 years old, a place frequented by groups of hunters known as one of the first populations that arrived in Patagonia. In this site we can photograph the environment and learn a little more about the local history. The activity continues in the direction of Laguna Blanquillos, nesting and feeding place of different species of endemic birds of Patagonia such as ducks, caiquenes and black-necked swans always with frontal view towards the Paine mountain range. After 3 hours of walking we will arrive at the main access of Torres del Paine National Park: Laguna Amarga porter. After a stop for the use of services we will return to the vehicle to go to a little known area where the milky waters of the Paine River coming from Dickson Glacier increase its flow with great concentration of minerals and sediments, we refer to the Paine Cascade. In this place we will have free time to enjoy our box lunch with a frontal view towards the granite towers between Ñirre bushes. The journey continues towards Cañadón Macho, an area where it is possible to observe large groups of guanacos that live with species such as the Ñandú, Gray Fox, Condor, Black Eagle among others.

A perfect day
This was my favorite experience of my trip! I was lucky enough to have the other party in my group cancel so I got a private tour with Paz! The hike itself was beautiful and not very difficult. Dress for all kinds of weather because the temperature changed throughout the day several times. I am a guide in the United States and being able to share experiences with Paz was such a unique experience. She is one of a kind and you can tell how much she loves Patagonia. I learned so much about the area, the plants and the wildlife and will truly never forget this experience.

Great guides
The hike was just what we wanted. We were able to see guanaco and condors, as well as beautiful scenery. The guides were very knowledgeable. If I had one recommendation , it would be to slow down a little bit when you have senior citizens.

An amazing 8km trek with stunning views
A very well coordinated trip organised using What’s App to prepare pickup etc. A beautiful walk with stunning views, but we were lucky with a bright sunny day. Our guide Sofia was excellent and made the short trek a memorable experience. Even got to see a puma!

Amazing Porteria Sarmiento Tour
We did the Porteria Sarmiento tour with Renata and the driver Andres. They made the day so much fun and provided great energy. Renata was smart, funny and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. 10/10 would love to have them guide us throughout Torres del Paine again!

So much to see
A gentle hike, with expansive views, to see ancient petroglyphs. The wildlife viewing turned this trip into an amazing adventure. Both our guide and driver had “eagle eyes” to spot condors, guanaco, rheas, fox. and a bunch of other birds whose names I will never remember. A truly satisfying day.
