The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7 cascades, is an enjoyable hike in the heart of the island. Our 3 hours guided hike is a highlight of the best waterfalls on the spot. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. Please note that this is not a flat hike; it involves traversing varied terrain with both ascents and descents over rocky surfaces and steep sections with roots. You may encounter challenging and technical parts along the trail. In some instances, you may need to rely on your hands for support, using branches or tree roots to navigate through these sections.

We had a wonderful day hiking! Our guide, Yudish, was fantastic and told us so much about Mauritius, its history, culture, and nature. Everything was perfectly organized and went smoothly from start to finish. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this hike to anyone visiting Mauritius.
Had an amazing hiking experience. Scenery was absolutely beautiful with lush green forest, spectacular waterfalls and natural pools along the way. It was adventurous and enjoyable with some challenging sections but definitely worth the effort. Paj was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we were safe while also sharing interesting information about the area. The waterfalls and views were breathtaking. It was a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty and truly memorable adventure.
Had a great hike with Theo through the 7 cascades. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The tracks are quite difficult and require quite a bit of care and endurance but Theo was great at prioritising everyone’s safety and didn’t rush any of the group which is great for less experienced hikers. It was a great way to see the falls and the swim was great as well.
The 7 cascades hike was phenomenal. Booking was arranged over whatsapp. The operator provided clear arrangements for the day. Meeting point was Henrietta bus stop and everyone was promptly there. Jordan was so warm and well informed. He helped a lot to identify hazards on the hike and helped guide us well during technical sections of the walk. He knew a lot about Mauritian life/ culture and politics and spoke good English. He made a few good jokes too. Tour was moderate but doable even forr older guests. Views were great and the waterfall pool swim at the end was very refreshing. Dont hesitate and book this tour with yanature for great service and a wonderfully scenic hike. In addition this agency offered better prices than viator and get your guide.
Amazing experience!!!! The views are so incredible, we had the amazing Jordan as our guide and he was amazing, so funny, and everyone’s personal photographer haha! He was amazing, the whole hike was incredible but if your scared of heights I would think about doing it, some level of fitness, I managed it but 2 days later I’m still in pain in my legs haha! All incredible worth it for the incredible views
Cristopher, very professional and at the same time fun
We had a great hiking experience with our guide Christopher. We were lucky to have a nice weather and the scenery was breathtaking. The trail isn’t too challenging overall, only a 10 mins upward section will get your heart rate up. Christopher was friendly and attentive. He checks in with everyone, and knows exactly the right spots for photos and breaks. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.
I am not going to return, awful without further qualifiers. Everything went wrong, the service from the staff leaves much to be desired, the maintenance of the aircraft we were flying in was terrible. In short, never to be repeated again. I cannot write anything positive about them. I do not want to continue because I feel that I am not helping, and after all, it is a country with beautiful nature.
We had a superb hike down 5 waterfalls with Yudish. Yudish made us feel safe at all times. He was also great fun, knowledgeable and interesting!!! We enjoyed the relaxed pace with plenty of if time to take in the breathtaking views, hear about Mauritius and take a dip in the pools. It was a real privilege
We did the full 11 waterfall full day hike - not the 7 falls half day - which is also available directly on the operators site. It’s an amazing hike, our guide Theo was friendly, attentive and professional, and I’d definitely recommend this tour for fit adventure seekers - we absolutely got our money’s worth. Now for the details: The first half of the hike was beautiful but the real magic happened as we ventured deeper into the rainforest, left most tourists behind, and began to discover the more secluded falls and pools. For anyone with good fitness and some hiking experience this trip would be totally fine to do - you go over and under tree roots, rocks and little boulders, you’d have to be a little agile but in dry conditions it is easy enough. I can imagine that in muddy conditions this hike becomes a little more challenging. If you love swimming you’d be very spoilt on this hike - many great pools to swim in - if you choose to (you can also just hike). Overall it’s a very exciting and adventurous day for those who are big on the hike-swim combo. For those who wonder if you need a guide to do the hike - for the full 11/13 falls you definitely need a local guide as path is unmarked in large parts of it and there’s just not a chance we could have navigated independently- plenty of opportunities to be lost. We are experienced hikers and we’re very grateful to have Theo lead us through the thick rainforest!
