Wonderful I had a great experience and learned a lot from my guide. He showed us a lot of different things
This is a wonderful tour to experience the history of the Highline and Greenwich Village as well as enjoying some iconic New York food. Cale was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the city. He shared stories as we walked and chatted together and was very open to questions. The food options were spot on, with the Bleecker St pizza being a stand out. Highly recommended and will book another tour with this company to cover another part of New York when we next visit.
I’ve visited NY many times, but there is something about a tour that makes it even better! Our guide Alex was fun, and great to listen to! He pointed things out that you take for granted when you’re exploring on your own, and we stopped at multiple restaurants that were equally delicious!
I did the Greenwich Village food tour with Jonathan on my first day in NYC, and it was the perfect way to ease into the city. It was just the two of us, which I was initially a little apprehensive about - as someone who's on the quieter side - but the experience turned out to be relaxed, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. The pace allowed time to absorb the atmosphere of the neighborhood, and Jonathan’s commentary as we walked was lively and informative. For me, this tour wasn’t about ticking off major sights - it was about wandering through a part of the city I was curious to explore, soaking up its character, sampling the local (and excellent!) food and simply enjoying being there. The combination of walking, conversation and eating was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for.
We had Alex as our tour guide. He was informative and energetic. Gave us lots of information and it was a great way to spend 1/2 a day in NYC.
Our tour guide, David, was absolutely the best. He was knowledgeable and managed to fit in an enormous amount of information in a short few hours. We loved every minute of our walk on the Highline followed by the Tasting Tour of Greenwich. David even sent us a text with a recap of the food places we visited and what we sampled at each one. We thought every one of them was a winner.
Tour of Highline, Greenwhich Village & Meatpacking District from Claire was personalized and the food was AMAZING!!!
Jake was amazing! He shared so much information about the Highline a Greenich Village. Jake’s sense of humor was wonderful, and his love for the city was evident throughout the tour. Jake introduced us to places we knew nothing about as well as hitting all the famous spots! Jake for win!
Our Greenwich Village Food Tour was our 5th with the Manhattan Walking Tour company, and we have been thrilled with all of them! Our first two were with the amazing Nancy who is now retired and the last three with Jake who is equally amazing! He researches the neighbourhoods so well and relates interesting facts and stories throughout the tours, (our first two with Jake were the Brooklyn Walking tour and the Chinatown Food tour). These food tours always have 5 food stops and most often introduce us to restaurants we would have never known about otherwise. This summer’s tour was our second through Greenwich Village but since our first was with Nancy back in 2019, it was great to revisit this neighbourhood and 3 of the stops had changed! Alex, the owner, is also wonderful to speak with when I book. I always recommend this tour company to family and friends who are travelling to NYC.
Claire was an amazing guide, she took us to great food spots and shared so much local history along the way. She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer all our questions. Highly recommend!
